The 34 on the XLT with the lux pkg is IMHO a little high, but there are a lot of things that go into a deal, very much including the local market.

I paid 38,xxx (3k below MSRP) for my Lariat, but got good value on my trade (ok, great value) and the dealership was outstanding at beating PenFed's excellent loan rate (by .06% but it's the thought that counts) with a local credit union, and helping me get a $750 rebate from Ford corporate.

Additionally, they had the identical Lariat in Eruption Green and offered the same deal that morning, I asked for another thousand and someone bought it.

I'm a teacher and not made of money, but I realized after losing out on the first truck that the $1k wasn't that big of a deal to me. I will say that you will always do better by being willing to not buy, walk away, "think about it" etc.

I've had some incredible deals on new cars, and in hindsight I have realized that $1,500 here and there over decades is ... well, more about me not wanting to feel bamboozled at a dealership.

I closed on the Lariate at 10:00, two hours after the dealership locked up for the night and we got it all done because no one wanted to do it the next morning (and frankly I worried they'd get an attack of common sense on the trade in). I paid half of the net on the deal and wound up with a montly under $200 for a great truck that makes me genuinely happy.

I know you came looking for advice on color, but here's some free life advice if you're still reading this far: just spend a little extra to get what you really want.

My competitors for this purchase were a Civic hybrid, Kia Niro or Sportage/Tucson hybrids. I like those cars, but I'm super glad I dropped a few more dollars and have the Mav. I'm old, owned a lot of vehicles, I can already tell this one is going to be a lifer for me. Had one other lifer, a truly perfect Civic that I drove for 260,000 miles before trading it for some roof work. Saw the car a year or so ago in a parking lot, now at 315,000 miles, still out on the road.

Get the truck you want, unless you truly can't afford it. Enjoy it. Life can be short.

I'm guessing "homestyle" mayo rather than hyperprocessed brand name stuff.

ETA: I seent the right mayo in the store today by coinkidink, sesame oil mayo, perfect match

Last year I went with terrain. Which I believe is this years desert sand. I believe. I could be wrong. I like how it will change shades depending on the light. Plus it never looks dirty.
If your Mav is only a year old, why are you trading it in? You must be wealthy!😉

I have a Tremor and like the look of the Tremor accents with Terrain. Plus as my handle suggests, I like camo, so I added some camo accents, which also looks great on Terrain.

We love our Space White Mustang MachE.
We didn't want two of the same color vehicles, so we went with Eruption Green for our Maverick.

The MachE got a big ding on the passenger door, so we had it fixed and repainted. The Space White paint has a 'direction' that our neighborhood body shop didn't quite figure out. The fixed door has a noticeable difference between the front door and the back door. The repair is darker. It was painted with the exact correct color.

Another body shop said that they could fix it - that the original repair guy didn't do a 'blend' like you are supposed to do when using metallic paint.

I'd still choose Space White-- but if you need a repair, go somewhere that knows what they are doing!

Picking up the XLT in space white! It was a rough decision but I liked it after seeing it in person!
Good choice!

Curious why it is called space white, isn't space black? Unless they are referring to the light from stars or UFO's.
I finally figured that out. Look at a full moon and the color in bright light matches pretty d*mn good.

I'm getting to ready yo buy a Mav and I can get loaded lariat for 38,500 but have to drive 3 hours to get it. I can get a Desert Sand without mats, moonroof, etc for 40,000 and only drive 45 minutes.

Still haven't decided.

Get the one for $38500, you are getting a more vehicle for $1500 less and investing 4.5 hours more of your time. Is your time worth $1500 or $333 an hour?

3 hours to Charlotte and then 3 hours back...and the hope they give me what my trade is worth. As for the $333 per hour - My rate before I retired was $247

After having had 2 white vehicles I'm bored silly with white so never again :)
I have a Space White Mach-e.
No comparison between that and a standard white color.
Space White changes tone depending on lighting. Bill P
