Hands down the best vehicle wireless charger made, with dual active cooling fans, adapted to work in the Ford Maverick. The Mabett (designed for Ford Bronco) wireless charger with dual cooling fans actually fast charges iPhones and Samsung / Pixel phones properly in a hot car. I will show you how to modify your Maverick to fit this Bronco specific wireless charger that works even better than the OEM Maverick Lariat wireless charger and is a great upgrade for the XL and XLT models that don't have a wireless charger from the factory. You can buy it here https://amzn.to/4liis4y

Yeah, I went through three different hidden wireless chargers and all three charged my iPhone 12 poorly and stalled out due to overheating. It’s not a problem on my nightstand, but in the truck while encoding CarPlay and handling GPS is a whole different story for waste heat.

I now have an active cooling module with MagSafe from Spigen, and I set it on top of the mat. It plugs into the USB C and doesn’t require PD. It’s not as good looking as the hidden mod but I didn’t want to cut more holes.

It would be good to know how well the fans hold up over time and whether or not you still get any overheating; the Spigen charger cools both itself and the back of the phone where the Mabett seems to only cool itself. I don’t think the Spigen has a peltier cooler in it, but if I see long term problems with it then that will be my next step.

That’s pretty cool. I too have tried numerous chargers and I’m now ready to go your route. One question l have though is did you use the pig tail extension plug for power, and do you know if the Bronco harness fits on the Maverick connector?

I did not use it. As shown in the video I t-d into the back of the cigarette lighter outlet. I think the included adapter would work but you might have to extend the wiring a bit

OK , I’ll try that. How’s the charging speed? The charger you bought on Amazon is no longer in stock. I did find another on there that looks to be identical to The Mabett. Fingers crossed it is equal quality.

On my S25 ultra it indicates fast wireless charging. The speed is decent, for wireless charging but obviously slower than a USB c cable. I believe that other one on Amazon is basically the exact same thing. They are probably all just rebranded Chinese stuff

As others have noted, the factory wireless charger can make your phone hot. Since I always have Waze running, I just use the USB-c connection and set my phone to stop charging at 80% which better for the phone battery.

Same here. I don't see the point of wireless charging in the truck and added wear/heat on the battery when you can plug it in.
I do use the wireless charger for my Samsung Buds.

I liked it at first, but I only for short trips. Then realized it wasn't even necessary for that as quick as a fast charger works.

So I got the Bronco charger on Amazon and installed it. It was actually very easy. I used a straight edge razor and cut out the floor of the console using the outline already there from Ford. Then glued it in place like you did. The Bronco pigtail harness supplied with the charger fit perfectly on the USB connector. The power wire and ground going to the charger did need to be extended by
about 12 inches. I decided to leave the orange tray liner in place without cutting an opening in it, but found if I did then I could not use my phone cover. No problem. I don’t really like them anyway. I did use the neoprene like holder supplied with the kit. I just cut it to fit and attached with 3M tape. I may be changing it in the future if charging results
Are not as expected.

I'm thinking about sealing up the gaps on the cut lines with some black silicone sealant calk. Not really necessary if using the orange tray liner, but it'll nag me because it doesn't look as finished as I would like.
