How is the install video coming? My sync 4 is coming today.

Help! I received the 8" upgrade kit today for my Lariat and got to step 4 and things didn't look right. It turns out the QR code for the Lariat installation instructions are actually for the XL/XLT. In fact all of the QR codes on the sheet go to the XL/XLT instructions. I'm sitting here on a Saturday evening with a substantial portion of my dash removed and no contact info with my package to request help even if Caleb or someone with the company was available on a weekend. Hopefully someone will see this post at least Monday if not before that can help me. I would prefer not to put it all back together only to have to take it apart again.
I’ve done the XL, what issues are you having trouble with?

Hey everyone,

We’ve noticed some folks have caught on to the recent price increase, so we wanted to take a moment to explain what’s going on.

There are two main reasons behind the change. First, when we partnered with OEM+ to bring these kits to you, our goal was to get them out fast and at the best possible price. Second, the cost of the OEM Ford screens used in these kits has gone up significantly. Ford recently raised prices on these components, and unfortunately, that increase has carried over to us as well.

We didn’t see this coming, as we’ve been consistently ordering these kits and only recently found out about the spike in cost. Panda even absorbed the first smaller increase without hesitation, because we wanted to keep things accessible for our supporters. But the jump on this latest batch was just too much for us to cover alone.
We truly appreciate your continued support and understanding as we navigate this. Our goal is always to deliver quality products while being transparent with our community.

A week later and still no reply from these guys, despite my post here, sending an email directly to Caleb, and submitting a form on their website that said someone would be responding very quickly. Nothing but crickets so far which is terribly frustrating after already starting to remove my Sync 3. Someone please reach out with install instructions for the Lariat.

If the lack of responses to the above two posts are indicative of the customer service offered by The Panda Team, then I would advise anyone here considering purchasing their products to perhaps reconsider... I, for one, am glad that I didn't order one of their kits.

I purchased mine from OEM Plus Upgrades. They've been pretty good at keeping me updated every other week. In fact, I just received an email from them today letting me know that they will receive the new batch of screens on Monday. They said I should receive it by the end of next week 🤞🏻.

After the price shot up on the units, they immediately notified me to tell me that they would eat the cost on the price difference due to ordering it before they were informed by the supplier that the price increased.

I came here (and actually registered today) to say the same thing. Purchased from Sam at OEM upgrades, and his communication has been fine. Sounds like we will get ours next week 🤞

I ordered mine over a month ago, any idea on when I might get it?
I'm in the same boat. I ordered mine on June 11th and received no contact for a whole month. I finally emailed them on July 8th asking when I might expect it to ship. They did respond that same day, but it was basically a non-answer saying they are "working closely with our supplier to get the screens delivered as quickly as possible". Pretty frustrating that they don't seem to even have any idea on a timeframe. I was hoping to get the kit installed before a road trip at the end of the month but it doesn't feel like that's going to happen.

And if it is possible, not all of the Sync 4 features may be available. I have a '22 truck and not sure if that applies mostly to earlier models? If anyone has more experience here, please share. I did notice on the module panda sent me it has a label identified as OEM Plus that others have mentioned in this thread. I'm inclined to just return it and hope Panda doesn't make that too complicated.

They are the same, yes you will lose Pass and other features, but CarPlay is instant

I know I can buy the harness for about 200 what else would I need to buy vs getting the kit for about the grand. Wife won’t let new do the 12 I’m fine with staying with the 8 to keep my phone mount location. Other then just buying the parts and the harness do I need to do any programming.
