As far as "tron" is concerned, that part will require FDRS for now. Hopefully FORSCAN can figure it out in the near future. It is very easy in FDRS. You basically just run a routine that updates the encryption key in all of the modules at once and resyncs them. So if you replace an encrypted module, all modules must be issued a new "key" so they can talk to each other. You can get a 2 day FDRS subscription for 50 bucks. You just need a J2534 passthrough capable OBD2 device. I have one that I use with FORSCAN that emulates a VCM 2. Easy to find on eBay for cheap.

Thanks. I thought I read somewhere that you wouldn’t be able to authenticate a part revision that didn’t match your VIN. If it’s really like that, I’ll get a new IPMA and give it a shot. Maybe after next months rent gets paid lol.

Well don't take my statement as the gospel. I guess I'm just going on my reading in the Ford manuals about working on these new 2025 vehicles. I guess FDRS could flag something as not being the original part required for the vin. Never really considered that honestly. The best thing would be if FORSCAN could generate the encryption key. I imagine they will be able to overcome this soon. FDRS is really simple and not nearly as capable as FORSCAN. It's like they assume most Ford techs are stupid, which I guess is the way it is now. I don't know. I work in a Ford fleet environment but also do my own thing on the side, some I'm able to dable in both worlds. If it's true the the lower level IPMA doesn't support Adaptive cruise that really is a blow to this project and makes it much more complex.

I don’t know a whole lot about software and computer programming, but it seems like a tool like forscan ought to be able to copy the encryption key from the old module to the new one. Either case kinda defeats the security that was in mind when Ford developed this, however. I don’t mind the fact that it’s just a little bit harder for someone to hack and steal my truck.

Chrysler master tech here, I bought a 2025 XL with copilot 360. Looking at retrofitting the adaptive cruise to mine as well and happen to have a 2025 lariat at my disposal, neighbors… I looked at theirs and seen the CCM is a different part number than the one you have listed and won’t fit the 22-24 mavericks. It’s more like the f150/explorer one. I have part numbers and wonder if this is the issue why it won’t recognize the CCM. S1PT-9G768-AA

NZ6T-9G768-AA Is the number printed on the part I bought from ebay, the service part number online is NZ6Z-9E731-A for 2022-2024 mav

S1PZ-9E731-A is what I found on the ford parts site with a 2025 lariat VIN borrowed from online resellers, but that's a service code not an engineering code, yet appears to match the pattern of the part number you provided vs the online part code.

Regardless, Jesse-Infotainment at the f150 lightning forum told me that unless your IPMA module is revision xxxx-xxxxx-C the CCM likely won't work. My XL has blind spot monitors and is revision B, some lower trim mavs have revision A. I can't find a B or C on Fords part site, but it's printed on the module itself. SZ6Z-14G647-A

The specific revision of your ABS and BCM could be a conflict as well.

If your neighbor will let you, the IPMA is driver side behind the rear seat. You'll have to take the nuts off to see the sticker on the back, get the part number off that module for us!

Another thing you could do, friendly lariat owner permitting, borrow his CCM, buy a connector and 4x pins(price is for 1 piece) for the IPMA,and wire it up behind the seat. In the IPMA enable the CCM and see if it shows up on forscan.

A possibility to be aware of is that key generation may be computationally hard and maybe the Ford tool picks up new keys off a server.... in which case Forscan would be hard pressed to support it on "any windows box" and would have to specify high end CPUs for it to "only" be a short wait.

I also have the IPMA, CCM, IPC, SCM, and gateway as built data saved from forscan. If any of that is helpful from the lariat truck

FDE?? lol mine says BBB. If you want to share IPMA as built, I'd like to compare it to the one I was able to get online with a lariat VIN.

Also, check the last edit of my last post, you responded so fast I might have still been typing it. If you can do that, it might confirm whether we need new IPMA modules. I could also ship you the plug and pins I bought if you don't want to waste funds yet, since I was unsuccessful so far they are just collecting dust over here. You have a good opportunity to do some research for this project having a lariat nearby so just thought I'd ask.

Hey guys, I have a 2025 XLT Mav. I’m impressive with this thread and if I can do anything to help just ask. My buddy has a 25 XL as well who also would be able to help out. I’m a techie dude but figuring this stuff out is out of my depth. But if someone asks me a specific question I would be more than happy to try to help.

Thanks for your willingness to help. Between XLT and XL not much difference but if you able to have your hand on Lariat I would say switch the IPMA to see if they are cross compatible.

Anyone have any more progress on this to share? Gonna be kind of a bummer if it turns out I can never add acc to my 25 XL :(

No news yet, seems we might need one or two expensive module upgrades to make another attempt. Ain’t nobody got the cheese to drop on that kind of an experiment.

Hey guys,
Maybe I'm being silly, but I didn't see in any post that any of you reviewed a 2023+ Escape or 2025+ Bronco Sport to compare communication between the CCM and IPMA in that vehicles. I mean, we already know that the Maverick is very limited in its trim levels, with a big difference between the XLT and LARIAT (ACC is always available with 360-degree cameras), but the Escape and Bronco (I hope I'm right) do have versions with ACC, but without 360cams. I'd like to do more right now, but I have an Escape Platinum with a 360 camera (which leaves us at the same point), and my 2026 XLT is still on the way.
I hope I've contributed to this point that has you stuck.
