Hey everyone! New here—just ordered a Lobo last week and getting pretty excited for it to arrive.

Curious what setups you’re all running for drag or autocross? Any tire recommendations?

Also, does anyone have an ETA on tuning support for the ‘25s yet?

Would love to see your builds too—looking forward to being part of the community!

it could be forever.

the f150 ECU is locked starting with 2024. that community is much, much larger and obviously more potential revenue. no one has unlocked it yet. livernois offers a tuned 2023 f150 ECU that compatible model 24-25 f150 can install.

but for a Maverick I can't see that working because the mpc engine is very different than what the 22-24 ecoboost Mavericks used.

I would buy a jb4 and be prepared for the possibility that's all you'll ever be able to do on a budget. throwing out the budget, yes, you could install a standalone ECU but you'll probably lose drive modes doing that.

for autocross it depends on how much drive comfort you're willing to sacrifice and possibly what class you want to be in. coilovers or lowering springs.

Not gonna go standalone yet, hoping something comes to market in the next year, was thinking of coilovers, not to worried about daily drive ability tbh

I would start with lowering springs and see if you ever really need more. the lobo has better struts and honestly I'm not impressed with the coilovers available.

Best autocross set up- Ariel Atom. Best tires-round and sticky.
Joking aside I'd love to see what you end up with. It never occurred to me a Maverick would be a good autocross vehicle, but I suspect the Lobo is the perfect place to start. Keep us posted and good luck.
