I picked up my A4 Step Bars For Ford Maverick.

My wife needs a little help to get in our Maverick. I will install today and post photos: before, during, & after. Stay tuned for more.

P.S. I also received my BAKFLIP MX4 TS. After the steps are done, I will start a new thread on the BAKFLIP MX4 TS install.

I could not install these in my driveway. MatSu Customs only charged 2 hours labor to install. ($185)

I started with a inventory of the box. Then I had to go to a car wash to spray the under side of the Maverick. It was muddy. Now I need to start the barbeque for the family. More tomorrow......

Looking at the instructions the brackets look the same for both driver and passenger sides? I've always seen a difference on other step bars due to the battery being on the passengers side?

Theres a lot of parts, I wish these companies would make install videos its so much easier than trying to read the directions and trying to see what goes where, No throwing out directions on these like I always do. I need a set my dog and I both have a bad legs and need a set of these, been waiting for someone to figure out a simple install. The set on Real Truck says for Maverick shows easy install BUT the video is a Bronco not Maverick, its very different on a Maverick and MUCH more complicated.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:​

1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLYBEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION. CUTTING IS REQUIRED.​

2. Starting from under the passenger/right side of the vehicle, locate the rectangular clips attaching the plastic rocker cover to the bottom of the body. Remove the second clip back from the front wheel opening, (Figures 1 & 2). Select (1) “S” Spiral Bolt. Insert the unthreaded end of the Bolt into the hole in the rocker panel, (Figure 3). Select the passenger/right front Support Bracket. Attach the Support Bracket to the “S” Bolt with (1) 10mm Flat Washer, (1) 10mm Lock Washer and (1)10mm Hex Nut, (Figure 4). Snug but do not fully tighten hardware.​

Bad News:
I could not get under the Maverick to install. See below:
I was able to finish step #2. Step #3 was a no go.

I failed due to complex instructions. It will have to be installed on a lift. I am going to have MatSu Customs install it when they install my Blue OX base plate for towing.

Those pics look just like the set that WJOHNM mentioned,
not the same steps but the brackets look similar. The install directions are not very clear. I was able to install a set after some serious head scratching.
I have offered before, if you are in the Orlando area I could help you get them on. Would involve some more
head scratching. Took a real engineer to figure this out.

If I could raise my Maverick up two foot, I think I could install the steps. But a Maverick that high would be unsafe to crawl under.

My Dad had a gas station when I was in high school. I have worked under cars & trucks with a lift & with jack stands.

I picked up my Maverick Friday. (06-27-25) The new TrailFX A4 Step Bars were installed at the same time as the Blue OX baseplate.

I was not able to tow it home as the FR3 hitch was to high. I had to go to O'Reilly Auto Parts to buy a 5" hitch drop receiver.
