Honestly, the 12" screen looks too massive. Might be interested if there was a version that eliminated the cubby next to the 8" screen, but didn't look like it would obscure your view.

Pre 2025 the Tremor was a package you added to an XLT or Lariat- that decides which kit, not the Tremor package.

Interested, have a 24 Lariat. Biggest question what does that do to OTA updates, software fixes, and dealer recalls where they plug into your truck to make a change? How does that affect the Sync 4 change when the dealer thinks it's a Sync 3?

I think you have a good question that also brings up the point of software licensing. My understanding is that Ford does not plan on having future updates to Sync 3 except for map updates. If that is true there probably isn’t any need to update whatever version of Sync 4 that is provided with the upgrade.

I am new to the updates done to the Maverick, as I am coming from a Rivian truck and also have a BMW i5 M60. So unaware if Ford does an all inclusive update to the truck and would come across the aftermarket Sync 4 install and 'stall' or stop the software update due to the part. I like the product, but want questions answered by someone on all the questions & comments that have been made. Thanks

Not reliable.

I’ve been using a wireless adapter for over two years with my Sony receiver for over 2 years w/o issues. So far the one I bought for my Maverick is as reliable as a wired connection.

If you are spending $700 just for a wireless connection you are paying too much.

If you click on the image it gets bigger... My phone camera had no issue picking up the codes on a 15" laptop screen.

I requested a link, which was provided for one of the files, as there is no way to run the QR code on a desktop. And I couldn't figure out how to get a link from the code. Initially, on my phone the links worked great, but too small to view even on my 6.1" iPhone. And I could not find a way to transfer the file from my iPhone to desktop.

You'd have to ask Panda that. But sometimes the "extra step" is the path of least resistance.

Ford and the other traditional US car makers don't do that. There's not enough money in finagling every last penny from the customer to make up for the money to engineer the finagling.

You'd maybe run into slight hassles at the dealer every time you explain the infotainment has been upgraded, some rolled eyes while the techs have to open the manual for 'the other' version...

I have '23 Maverick XLT. Okay, silly question. If you upgrade to the XLT 8" version, do you get the Sirius function capability (with subscription of course). Or do you pick it up through your android app (Sirius) version only?

Will the installation of this unit eliminate the functionality of the mechanical buttons in 2024 Mavericks? Temperature controls, fan speed, etc.? I understand that in Sync4 many of those controls have been transferred to the touchscreen.

Panda, this is my question also - If I upgraded to 12 inch, can I keep my hard controls but add the screen controls for my climate system?
