I hope so too. I quit building boxes for other people years ago. I do it for myself mostly now. So if it sucks, I can redo it. And you're not being that guy. Valid question. I'm only reusing the pioneers because they and the amp were in my other box. I built the box for a newer sundown amp, and those sundown neo shallows. I don't have new amp and subs in my hands and I don't want to wait for them but I can read the specs of them online and go from there.that's a lot of work on the box, hopefully it turns out awesome.
btw, I am not trying to be 'that guy'but what's the reasoning for the dual pioneer shallow mount 10s? had them already, used them before with good results, etc?
I havent figured out air space yet. I have a 12X12x12 cardboard box. That equals 1 cube. Fill card board box up with popcorn peanuts... And that equals 1 cube of peanuts. Dump said peanuts in speaker box till full. See how much fills speaker box and what is left in cardboard box. Go from there.. half box of peanuts used? .5 cubes of air space.. all the peanuts used? Full cube. It's not perfect but.. close enough.
Technically, I have 6+" of dept so I could do a full size sub annnnnd could port it. But maybe that'll be do over 2.
