Ordered a Hot Pepper Red Lariat today..... The wife was very against a semi orange paint color (because she is a Texas Aggie) but luckily for me she had a dream that my only regret in life is I didn't get the color I wanted

Whatever it takes I guess

Hopefully I'll still want this color 6 months from now, lol

Saw a HPR Ranger yesterday while out during a sunny day. I'm gonna like it. It's definitely not as close to a pure red as some pics (usually promo pics, but even some pics posted of HPRs on the lot) have seemed to indicate, but nor is it dull. It has just enough of a hint of orange in bright daylight to set it apart from a pure red truck. I'm glad I didn't switch colors. I considered going to something else when it appeared "overly orange" in some of the pics taken on overcast days. If it gets more "orangish" on overcast days that will be fine, but I'm going to enjoy a "red" truck that stands out a bit from a pure red. Now to wait.

Addendum: I would say that the color matches the pic in Caffeinated's avatar and the pic HPR posted below. That is the "true" color we'll be getting.

They are using it as a demo now. Not sure when they will sell it. It is in Franklin, KY

I spotted a silver Lariat in SoCal lot with a sticker price of $44,000 and change. It was the first time I saw a Maverick IRL

Its burnt orange with a red tint. I'd prefer straight orange but I like this since it doesn't look like all the other burnt orange cars. I would suggest looking for used 2019 Ranger or Fiesta that used the same color. There's a 2015 Escape "Sunset" color that's pretty close too.

the color tends to be very chameleon-like depending on the lighting. people post pics with different contrast / saturation levels that modify the appaerance ever-so-slightly. I'd say the picture above is a pretty good representation, more orange in full sunlight, and more red in shadow / night environments

My Mini Cooper is "Blazing Red Metallic" which does have a little orange in bright sun. It's going on 6 years old, and no fading whatsoever. So I hope our Hot Pepper Red hybrid Maverick will be similar.

Was loving HPR but after comparing real world pics I think it needs more orange tint to work - Cactus Grey looking a shade lighter than what it looks like on other models. # Anxiety -

I have kept my Hot Pepper Red Maverick XLT in quarantine for close to 2 Months but couldn't resist temptation any longer. I pulled the trigger on a set of 20X8.5" Ravetti M8 Wheels and Continental DWS 006 Plus tires in 245/45/R-20. I had hoped some manufacturer would have a 2" or so lowering kit or springs available before I did the tires and wheels. Not yet. It looks okay for now, but I will drop it as soon as the kit becomes available.
If you are shopping for replacement wheels for your Maverick I will tell you that you will know far more than any of the people I talked to about fitment. I have a slight advantage because I was in the tire and wheel business for 35 years. Anyway, do your homework before buying; especially if you buy on-line. It will save you a bunch of grief.
One thing I forgot to photograph and attach is the polished stainless steel tailgate letter insertsI got at Platinum Ford in Terrell. They really catch your eye and keep people from asking "what is that truck".
