Towing concerns:
Unfortunately, most of what I have to add has already been said, therefore:
Fluid changes should be done early and often. Just because oil 'Looks' good, does not mean that it is not at, or over its expected/useful life expectancy.
Do Not go by the recommended mileage stated in the owners manual.
And if you do, be sure to use the extreme/heavy-use portion of the chart.
Remember: Heat is NOT your friend, Larger Radiators are a MUST. Auxiliary Oil coolers as well.
Most don't know/realize the reported temps of your Coolant and Oil are only a relative temperature. Those reported temps are dependent on the placement of the Sensor. Things like coolant temp sensors are typically placed quite the distance from the engine head where the Real temperature is quite higher. The same goes for the oil temp sensors (both Engine and Transmission).
The actual temperature of the coolant in the head can be upwards of 50+ degrees hotter locally.
The same goes for the oil at the piston head/rings/skirt, the rod/crank journals and in the head.
Many do not realize the job of Oil is to not only lubricate, but remove excessive heat from the areas it flows over.
That said, clean Fresh Oil, Fresh Coolant and Radiators (both for coolant and oil) are needed to handle the excessive heat these fluids carry. This is your best defense against premature wear and early failure of parts when you are towing/heavy use. (especially if you have modified your engine/exhaust and drive-line (lifts/Tires) for increased performance)
Hope this helps everyone some.

Cherokee:
As for the forester and Lesbians
... IMHO, Any man that likes Women is a lesbian!! LOL
Also, The Forester was in the running when I was looking to buy this past March.
I chose the Maverick because I fit better, Price and Usefulness.
(and I don't want to support a foreign company)

Auto Drive:
Yes, Ford has Auto Drive, it's just not implemented or released across the board as of yet.
I have watched the development of this now for over 10 years. Several Engineers and Designer friends are/were working on this project. The test Mule has been rolling around Dearborn and other areas now since early/mid-20teens if I remember right.
Ford is a very conservative company when it comes right down to it. They would rather wait, do extensive testing and be sure of the tech before releasing it to the general public.

Consume the Ecoboost, thats good business, it also might be worth it to get a transmission cooler. I have the Hybrid and I have towed and hauled a bit, not enough to make a difference. While you are wearing out the Ecoboost someone on here will be doing what you are doing with the hybrid, and in a few years it will be an easier decision to make. Based on my experience I think you would get better milage than you think you would. You can get in the hybrid and it drives like any other car, but under the surface it is just pretending to be normal it does things quite a bit differently so the normal "rules" dont really apply. The transmission is a great example, it does use ATF but it can probably be better understood as electric motor coolant than transmission fluid, no clutches. The other big difference is the generator, the hybrid does start stop but it doesn't not do it like an ICE only car. There is no wah wah wah from the starter, there is no starter, the generator starts the ICE. I live in Arizona and the AC is fantastic, because its the generator turning the compressor, no belt, no belt for the fan either, so at a stop the ac is just as cold as ever, in fact there isnt a belt on the car at all. the ICE does have a timing chain that could have been belt driven, thankfully it wasnt.

I considered the many thoughtful comments made in this thread, decided to keep the 2022 AWD Maverick. It really has been a good truck and I didn't want to get rid of it. Cherokee and others made excellent points about just maintaining it and using every bit of reasonable value up.

I cancelled the 25 Hybrid AWD order and got my deposit back.

I found a sweet deal on a new old stock 24 F150 Supercab XLT 4x4 with the tow package option and payload I wanted, actually a much nicer truck than I would have ordered. Ford and the dealer had huge incentives to make the '24 go away. I retired the '95 F250 to the farm.

Now to buy another overpriced bed topper for the F150.
