Howdy y’all,

I’ve picked up a 2025 Space White XLT Hybrid earlier this week. The dealer only had Eco-boost models available (they’ve got some pep), but they weren’t what I wanted. My salesman was able to locate and move one I was interested in. It doesn’t have any of the luxury packages but that doesn’t bother me. Would have liked to have Adaptive Cruise, but I’ll live, not all of those systems work as expected ive.

In the past I’ve briefly owned a TRD-Pro Tacoma and a handful of Subarus in various fun to less fun models. I wanted something that got more gas mileage and had more daily function than the Crosstrek I was in.

When traffic lets me keep my foot out of it, I get good mileage. 35-40 on my commute of 25 miles with highway driving depending on circumstances. But if I need to step on it, it can go (which is nice), but I like the mini-game of extending my gas tank currently in this honeymoon phase.

Thanks, I added a couple. Haven’t had a chance to clean it since I bought it. Dealer owes me a detail since it was raining that day. Still has the original dealer’s badge residue on the tailgate I’ve began noticing.

Welcome! Nice truck!

Lots of folks report the mileage improving somewhat after the ICE is broken in—that's been my experience.

From your greeting ("Howdy y'all") I can see we share a common language. 🙂

I’m enjoying it. It’s a step above the barebones XL, so it has the few creature comforts I want. I’m still adjusting to things like the steering wheel controls placements. And that on (some?) Fords and Chevys (we had a rental over New Year) the wiper stalks go up instead of down for the different speeds. All the imports (Nissan, Toyota, Subaru) I’ve owned or driven they go notch down to increase speed. 🤷‍♂️ Just different than what I’m used to, not wrong or bad.

Really enjoying the drivetrain. I’ve not been in a FWD vehicle since the early 2010s. This is my first time driving a hybrid too. Ive been eyeing the Mavericks since they launched.

Congratulations on your new Maverick! The Space White XLT Hybrid is a great choice. It's impressive that your dealer could locate the exact model you wanted. Wishing you many enjoyable drives ahead. Hopefully i will be also able to get one if blockchain com customer support helps me with some basics
