Obligatory first post, with obligatory intro pic... Howdy.

Picked up a used 2023 XLT FX4 with the EcoBoost this week.

Have been intrigued by these little trucks since they came out, but never really had a need for a new vehicle... until my Acura SUV was totaled when someone rear-ended me a few weeks ago.

Dealership (Ford) experience was shit, but not unexpected. Personally I am satisfied with my deal, and the trucklet is in great condition. I wasn't able to wait to order a new Mav, nor did I want to blow thousands on ADM for current inventory.

I have the XLT Lux package which gives me things I did not have on my 10-year-old Acura. (Heated steering wheel FTW!)

AFAIK there are no mods to the truck by the previous owner besides ridiculous limo tint in the rear windows - that I will fix to make the poor thing drivable in an urban setting.

Besides new tint, the only other mod I have planned is an auto start/stop eliminator. Maybe fog lights. That said, I am fully aware of how forums can change one's perspective on upgrades and farkles. :p

Twenty-four hours in, I am still building muscle memory for the Ford idiosyncrasies and learning from my mistakes, but I have to say the little thing is pretty impressive so far. The EB moves when it wants to, the CarPlay is awesome, there is tons of storage, and besides my blacked-out blind spots, this is a really right-sized vehicle. My last Ford was a '97 F-150 single-cab 4x4. This is... not that. And I love it.

Looking forward to my relationship with my lil' truck and learning from the community here. Cheers.

Congrats, I love mine, had it for 6 weeks. By the way, get to know about FORScan. You can program the auto start/stop to stay off. I did it last week

Hey Carlotios.

Welcome to the club and congratulations on getting your Maverick!

Now that you have it, perhaps one of the first mods is to add a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

Two styles/sizes available:

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Glossy) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($5 delivered)

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Transfer) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($6 delivered)
