This is so dumb. All my other cars have sunroofs, and ALL of them have sunglass holders but I guess Ford just couldn't figure it out!

"What were they thinking?" Cheap / bad decisions that would have added great convenience by just pulling inexpensive items from the corporate parts bin :
1) No homelink, even on Lariats
2) No seat memory, even on Lariats
3) No sunglass holder with sunroof option

I mean, all this stuff was available in the early to mid-2000s, it isn't exactly rocket science, so CHOOSING not to include that in the top model (while it's available on mid-grade Ford compact SUVs) is just egregious
Id like the memory seats but also not before the bottom seat cushion can move independently.

Homelink and sunglass holder total none issues to me. Especially with easy homelink fixes available

Yeah that would be nice too.

Homelink is an easy fix? I have to order a harness which is gonna be $40 USD ($60 CAD) shipped + a mirror which used to be cheap but now seems to be about $70+ USD ($100+ CAD) shipped, then I have to pull panels etc ...

Adding homelink + seat memory + seat adjustment + sunglass holder -which are important enough to be standard on 80%+ of new cars- might have added $100 to the price of a Lariat?

Stupid decisions.

Everyone’s going to feel a little different about their Mav. I’m absolutely fine with the feature set I received in my Lariat. I forgot to select scratch resistant plastic though 😆

60/40 splitback rear seat would have been good....
I love this in my cars for carrying snowboards, skis, lumber, pipes, etc. Can you explain how useful it would be in a pickup? I'm sure there's a case but I'm not seeing it

With the popularity of the Maverick maybe Ford will offer the Maverick in higher end packages in the future I know I would of purchased a “Limited” trim package if it had been available

I can see two other cases for this.
  • If the seats folded flat, you could have one passenger and a flat loading area.
  • Having the ability to access the area behind the seat with a passenger, pet or item strapped/loaded in one side of the rear seat.

You get a flat on the Highway... You remove your child from the car seat, keeping an eye on them becuase well your on the side of a highway... Then you remove the seat... Now you put the seat either in the front seat or on the ground... and then place your child back in the car seat so that its safe becuase well your on the side of a highway. Now you fold down the seat back to access the jack and start your repair.... When done... You install your child seat and child in the reverse of the removal...

Split fold rear seat... Take care to mount the car seat on the 40% section that doesn't have the car jack behind it... Child stays safe in their seat the whole time in the event you need to fold the 60% portion to get at the jack.

Is the sunglasses holder space occupied by the sunroof motor on those models?

.....kids usually have a sort of 'permanently' installed car seat - being able to pop the other side where (yeah not much room) you have stored something without having to move the car seat out also helps...
