22' Ecoboost FX4 Mav XLT - Recently I've had some weird/random warning messages pop up at random times. Messages disappear on their own and don't come back. It sounds like others have also had these issues with their battery starting to die. Had a parking break fault pop up today, had about 6 different warning messages pop up one after another while doing 70 on the freeway a couple of weeks ago then they disappeared never to return. I've had others pop up but again there isn't anything wrong with anything.

I do have the battery that is considered part of the recall. I'm at 41 months 70K so no warranty anymore.

Are there any updates on when dealers can take action on this recall? The last notice said no fix as of yet but people had mentioned May.

Has anyone had their dealer do a recall replacement for their battery related to this issue?

I'm trying to hold off replacing the battery until Ford does it for free but starting to worrying that I'm going to get stuck someplace.

I got a notification that a solution has been found. Dealership will inspect the battery and if, IF, it has a number that is associated with a bad batch, dealership will replace it. I have an appointment next week and will post an update. Hope this helps

Found along time ago I would think.

My 2024 Eco Lariat purchased off the showroom floor on 12/31/24 came with this:
Ford Maverick Ecoboost Battery Recall - any updates on this? IMG_1838

No problems at all, 3,500 miles now.
760 CCA,
I would have thought 550 CCA would have been more than enough for a
Four banger.

The bad batch is simply "does it have a non-AGM battery"

My truck came with a non-AGM battery, and when I was in for the camera recall, they said that my battery needs to be replaced due to it being a "bad" battery. I plan to get this done at some point because sometimes if you cycle it too frequently, it just doesn't start. Kinda annoying, but at this point, it's got a 69% SOC (nice), so a free replacement battery after 3 years old ain't all too bad.

Thanks. I just checked Ford Pass app and it’s now showing parts available for that recall. I’m going to schedule with dealer asap. Will be interesting to see if they replace battery as I‘m out of warranty like the OP, and I‘ve reported battery issues in past to the dealer when it was still covered under 3/36.

For the EB's under the recall being discussed - which received FLA batteries because it appears AGM's were out of stock during the production run - that is the battery they will get.

Which between new manufacturing runs and the number needing the recall - appears to have been in short supply to just declare "Bring 'em in!".

My 24 EB XLT is now only 15 months old (built 1-29-24) and the dealer is replacing the battery.
I took the truck in for service because of the Stop/Start not working. ( I know, some would say that is a blessing ), but there are times when I would like the Stop/Start to work, like at super long traffic lights.
As soon as I pulled the truck into the repair dealer, the service writer noticed that the battery was at 62%. Not sure exactly what that means, but it is bad and thus they are replacing the battery to fix the Stop/Start.
Can we see this type of information on our Ford App?

I just had the same problem, but my battery died. I got the upgraded AGM battery. Now it gives me "charging system service soon" warnings about every 50 miles. The battery wasn't under warranty for same reasons as you. However, I will request a refund for the battery I bought as soon as the recall is approved for fix.

Before anyone ask me, yes I reset the BMC. It still gives the code. The dealership said it has to do with the software. That is what Ford is trying to get done for the fix, before they replace batteries.
