Just received a '25 Lariat Hybrid with 4K tow, and so far so good. Loving the mileage, and it's quite comfortable as well. Looking forward to many years of service with it. Though the one thing I'm going to have to get used to is the artificial sounds the truck makes. I can deal with the pinging when in reverse, but the artificial noises the truck makes when slowing down to a stop, or when it's stopped in gear seem odd. When slowing down to a stop, it sounds like gear noises winding down, and although at first I thought it was actual gear or engine noises, I'm now pretty sure it's just artificial noise the truck makes. I understand the reason for the noises so it's not completely silent when running on battery, but it still will take some getting used to.

You'll be used to the sound in about a month. I'm pretty sure I would have already run over at least 2-3 pedestrians without that sound.

I just purchased my 25 Hybrid Maverick. First hybrid for me and it really does take some getting used too. Just driving around a corner, mine sometimes makes a rumbling sound, almost like grinding. When coming to a stop I can hear the regenerative braking charge sound. I must say, even at 45 mph, this is the loudest truck I have ever been in. At first I thought it was the tires....but no, it just makes noise. And the best is when I park it and a few minutes later, I can hear buzzing or other noises. Gotta love it!

Are these noises any different from the ones on a 2022?

I had my truck for a year before I even knew it made those sounds. I was leaving a friend's house once and they were next to the truck and mentioned it.

The sounds are required and regulated by federal law anytime the truck is driving with the engine off below a certain speed. It is more noticeably in the Maverick Hybrid than it is in my EVs.

i almost run someone over weekly because they simply ignore it and keep on walking. i'm guessing one day i will.

Agreed. Very odd at first.
But will become "normal" to you soon.

The pinging in reverse is awesome actually. And I get thumbs up from people in parking lots all the time.
I'm just glad it's not as loud as a friggin' trash truck.

My 2024 Lariat makes some hybrid sounds, but this truck is so much quieter than my last one, a 2017 Frontier. Like 90 percent quieter. We’ll see how it holds up but I am enamored by the engineering ingenuity.

I'm tempted. I don't mind the back up beep. But the under 20 mph sound is obnoxious. Someone should come up with a new sound selection. Like Jaws. LOL

Agreed. Its crazy that Ford could have chosen ANY sound and this is what they decided on

I’m a new 2025 Hybrid Lariat AWD owner and have NOT noticed these sounds. Is that because my Mav has all the sensors and anti-collision Nannies to avoid hitting pedestrians?

My 2024 Hybrid makes all kinds clicking, burping sounds especially in the garage. I don't think any of these really are truly shut "Off".
