And to be clear, the microbus was an adaptation of a little truck originally based on the VW bug.

The bug got chopped into a flatbed for use in the factory, and someone figured out to ship it as a pickup and microbus. Originally, it used the bug engine and a gearing reduction to 2/3, but within a couple of years, they made a bigger engine for it (which also ended up getting used in the Porsche 914!0

The title says truck song, not pickup song, so.... You are all wrong! 4 words! Roll On Big Mama by Joe Stampley. Here is why. I worked in night clubs for years and one of them was attached to a mall. The lady the we shared one wall with complained about our loud music knocking her clothes off the wall, so for a compromise, we had to wait until 9:00 to turn the music up. Our tradition was to play Roll On Big Mama. There is something about that big ole diesel engine starting up at the beginning that sets the tone. That is why it wins!
