The real sadness of it all is why is it that the owner of a Brand New Vehicle should have to purchase a jump starter or battery tender at all just in order to feel secure that it won't leave them stranded. Truly pathetic that this hasn't been resolved in like 4 years now. Just my opinion.

Comparison among different brands gives you a reference.

Interested? Pick 1 of 2 models of WOLFBOX MegaVolt jump starter.

I just purchased the Wolfbox 4000A this morning after watching a very detailed side by side comparison review. I learned a lot and was surprised to learn that some of the brands have very limited capabilities that you may just take for granted or assume they all have so I am glad I did my due diligence before making a decision.

Don‘t assume bigger is better some of the largest units in the market have the smallest battery capacity

Only a few offer device charging so don’t assume you will have the ability to charge your phone most don’t.

Understand what you’re buying don’t be fooled by useless features - this one is what I feel best fits my needs…

Great discounts on Amazon for this one with multiple discounts available today I got the Wolfbox 4000A for $103.29 delivered…

Agreed. It is rediculous that Ford devotes so much effort into redesigning the Maverick front end and dash instead of devoting those efforts into quickly fixing known defects. Also, the Maverick hybrid doesn't have a traditional 12v starter motor run off the 12v battery. The 12v battery simply runs all of the electronics. The vehicle is started by the HV battery.

I had a jump box before I bought a Maverick. Due to previous damage to my vehicle while trying to give someone else a jump, I will never jump another vehicle with mine.

Plus, using a jump box is so much safer, electrically and physically. No trying to line up two vehicles to get the jumper cables to reach. Impossible sometimes. And most new ones have a built-in light and USB charging ports for charging phones during a power failure.

As for jump box requirements, the cheapest NOCO is fine for the Maverick. That's the one I have and I've jumped an old V8 Lincoln Town Car with it, no problem.

Yeah I jumped a guy with my 03 Altima and he went negative positive when he connected to his battery and fried my inline fuse pack.

NOCO idiot proof but if you find yourself using cables it’s +( dead), +, -, - (dead)

I have had a jump box in both our cars for quite awhile. They get lots of use…jumping my lawn tractor, my snow blower, my son’s car, and the neighbors F150. Luckily I have never needed it for myself! But it’s a cheap piece of insurance…
I have the NOCO and it works great!

I have the NOCO that I bought from Ford with points. I didn't really buy it for my Maverick I bought it to be able to help others out and not have to use jumper cables. I have always kept a jump box in the vehicle cause you never know when you will come across someone in a bind. But if the Maverick should ever need it I am prepared for that also.
