Folks...
- have 2024 Mav XL Hybrid base + CoPilot;
- Motorola G 5G (2022) Android smartphone, lastest updates;
- phone (and USB cable) known-good; pairs/operates fine with all my other
BT speakers, as well as fine with other vehicles stereo BT (for audio or phone)

Originally:
- dropouts of BT on Mav stereo, reverts back to phone speaker/mic, then comes back sometimes;
- only during *calls*; multimedia = playing music from phone (youtube, etc.) has no dropouts.
- when connected via USB cable to dash (BT paired but inactive) no phone dropouts;
- Android auto switched on when connected, works fine otherwise.

Did a On+Button reset/reboot. FW update latest.

Now:
- ensured stereo had latest FW update, paired stereo to Wifi, fine.
-above behavior seems worse: now even with USB cable connected, there are
voice dropout periods; I just switch phone to its own speaker;
- direct BT (no USB cable) performance same or worse;

Love my truck but I shouldn't have to splice in a 3rd party BT adapter.

What gives????

Hey there. I would like to take a closer look at your bluetooth concerns on my end. To get things started, can you please send over a message with your VIN and estimated mileage?

I have a 2024 XLT. I have a Samsung 24 Ultra. I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5.

If the watch is connected to the phone via Bluetooth, the calls in the Maverick are distorted.

If I disconnect the watch, the calls in the Maverick are fine.

Absolutely reproducible.

I frigging hate Bluetooth.

Something with the latest software update made BT unstable in the Maverick. I'll get audio dropouts that last less than a second fairly regularly now. And I recently swapped from Android to iPhone and the issue stayed, ruling out the phone. I never had these issues before the recall installed the new software, so I'm pretty sure it is the software that is bugged.

The nature of the problem changed, for me, after reset/update.
Now, it has problems even when USB cable connected.

I think Ford had a smart idea to not do fancy Nav etc software and 'let the phone do it'. I think they really should further avoid development expense and just use a 3rd party radio platform slighly tweaked for their purposes (msg display etc) and concentrate firmware dev efforts on their powertrain etc platforms

I only use USB cable. I know too much about wireless technology to trust it.

I was having issues to so I ordered a Bluetooth dongle it helped but not fixed.so out of the blue my order came in with my cables USB etc. I have one end to my iPhone the other end has the C. I plug my phone in to first to my dash and then to my iPhone it has a hiccup once a week maybe. I can work with that 👍

I've developed BT products. Speakerphone mode should 'just work',
esp when $15 chinese BT headsets and speakers work just fine.

We have a 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid and had read read on MTC of people having issues, so we right from the get go have just plugged-in our phones and haven't had issues. You are not to have your phone in hand while driving anyways so it isn't an issue. We have 59K+ miles and Oct 6th it will be 2 yrs we have had it and it has been great.

I have lost the effectiveness of direct USB connection now with recent update/reset. So I have the problem regardless of wireless or cabled.

Dude, when I plug in it's still a problem especially after last reset/update. You're lucky - don't update.

I have a 2024 Maverick Hybrid. The Bluetooth drop out began a month ago. I get messages that it connects then it is disconnected. I've reset the system and restarted my phone several times to no avail. I'm taking it into the shop in a couple days. I can connect to Android Auto with the wired connection, this works fine.

Yeah, I have to take my '24 to the dealer, but I have no confidence they'll find or fix the issue.
Not the dealer's fault - really needs engineering support w/a Bluetooth analyzer. Meantime I carry around a BT speaker for phone calls. [BT media audio - i.e., music - is generally OK.]
Resetting doesn't help much. Unless there is a 'hidden FW update' I dunno about - only way deler can fix.

I note that the Mav's BT audio is a bit unique [vs prior vehicles and Bose BT speakers, etc.] - at least in 'media' mode, the volume on the phone is fixed output level, whereas in other use cases w/ other BT speakers/cars.
