Wish Maverick had wireless Apple Carplay

I have the 2021 Nissan Rogue for my wife and they are light years away from their previous model! I know still CVT but had a 2011 Nissan Rogue for 8 years that never gave us any major issue. Hopefully it'll be the case on this new one!

Yeah I love the technology in the new rouge, the heads up display was awesome.

A bit expensive but worth it. Now I can use my wireless charger and CarPlay. Ordered last Monday and paid for the expedited shipping and got it Friday.

I believe this is what I had. I did notice that in Waze, it doesn't lock out the keyboard like wired carplay does, so you can type instead of using voice

Hmm but Inconvenient, but not a dealbreaker.

What makes you think Apple CarPlay would not work over Bluetooth? And there is a clarification that all trim lines will be getting bluetooth.

Carplay does not work over Bluetooth. Had it on my Subaru, which had Bluetooth but required wired connection for Carplay (this was pre-wireless). There is a nice tray for your phone in the Maverick and the USB connection is right above it; that works fine for me. The only inconvenience I see is if you want to play with your phone, and you shouldn't be doing that anyway (soapbox).

My wife has wireless android auto in her car and I agree it sucks that synch 3 doesn't have it because 1. we have the wireless charger and 2. we don't have integrated gps so we need more than bluetooth for audio. On the other hand, our phones kind of fight for which one connects when we get in to her car so at least there is a good thing about having to wire up.
It makes me less likely to use waze on just a routine daily commute but I am weirdly lazy like that.

I have this for my wife and I in my Maverick and we use it for both Apple Play and Android play and it’s worked great for both, sound quality is excellent from our stored music.

I’ve been using a $50 wireless adapter since the first week of ownership. 1.5 years now and no issues using apple carplay (unless you are talking in the phone when you get in the car and start it up). I also put an under desk Amazon wireless charger where you lay the phone flat. another $50. Bothe work great. Look up these 2 on YouTube. Look under a channel called Blakes and search maverick wireless apple carplay on YouTube for the wireless unit I use and installation.
