As to your “It does imply Search could reveal results” comment, i used the search function, however, the results it returned were mostly threads regarding the stubby antenna.Did you already explore the Similar Threads listed towards the bottom of this page? At the moment, it lists three pages addressing CB, though it may nominate other pages when you view. It does imply Search could reveal results.
You probably looked at these in most of them deal with installation of the antenna.Hell. I've been on here for at least 3 years and this is the first I've seen anybody ask about a CB and I read almost all the threads.
Gorgeous pictures.in all honesty, it wouldn't probabaly even be used much, but one of my daughter's & I'd favorite camping spots is up in the mountains on an active logging road..being able to communicate with the logging trucks is a vital part of not getting in a head-on with one & denting ones bumper...ther rear bumper.....
no, near the top of the peak (interestingly enough, the view from a friends' drone is quite informative: shows that the rad basically runs an top of a ridge most of the way up).Gorgeous pictures.
I am guessing if it isn't posted at the beginning of the Logging Road. Channel 19 is the go-to channel?
Jeff, I don't have a CB radio mounted in my Maverick, but I do have a hendheld CB I take with on trips on occasion. I use it on my trike, too. When using it on that I have the button above the left grip to transmit and am able to bluetooth it to my helmet for talking and listening.if so, make, model & location?
yeah, I’m thinking with as little use as it will actually get, that might be probably the best solutionJeff, I don't have a CB radio mounted in my Maverick, but I do have a hendheld CB I take with on trips on occasion. In my Maverick I just place it in the cup holder and lift it my mouth to talk. Mostly I just use it to listen for info on freeway backups, etc.
It would probabaly work ok for talking to logging trucks that were close by. It's a "President" brand CB, model is "Randy II FCC".
Good luck with whatever you come up with!
