I wanted to take the time to do a quick recap for the community here. First, I want to say thank you for your support through the last 3-4 years as our dealership has grown and more specifically our Extended Warranty sales. I wanted to take a moment to give a quick recap of where we've been.

The Beginning - In March of 2022 we launched our Extended Warranty sales through these online forums. We were able to gain a lot of traction and sell over 100 contracts/month without as much as a website but through an email inbox. We then got our website launched and through a lot of trial and error got transparent, aggressive pricing on extended warranty offerings up by the end of 2022. We continued to see growth through 2023 and launched the Mopar website (www.buymoparwarranty.com) for our CDJR customers by the end of 2023 with similar success. We also ended 2023 as the #1 Ford Protect dealer in the country because of you and your great referrals!

Our goal for 2024 was to add a payment plan option for our customers. Up until this point all of our customers had paid in full via credit card for the entire purchase price. We added an 18-month installment option and now approximately half of our customers take advantage of this. We ended 2024 as the #1 Ford Protect dealer again and #2 Mopar extended warranty provider in the country! We are also approaching $1,000,000 in covered claims for our customers which is pretty cool given how "new" of a book of business that we have currently (most of our customers aren't anywhere close to the expiration of their policies).

So I want to give everyone a big thank you that has purchased or referred a customer to us! We have had overwhelmingly positive response on our goals of having up-front costs and robust factory-backed coverage you can count on!

Now new for 2025 we are launching our website GrangerWarranty.com. This allows us to provide the same great coverage you've been used to on your Ford or CDJR, but for all high volume makes and models. We realize a lot of our customers have a Chevy, Toyota, Honda, etc. in the garage next to their Bronco, Wrangler or F-150.

This coverage is good at manufacturer's dealership (Toyota dealership for a Camry, Chevrolet dealership for an Equinox) and doesn't make any compromises like 3rd party warranties can at times. The highlights include:
  • Factory-trained technicians - Most highly trained technicians to work on your vehicle
  • Manufacturer engineered parts - Not "like parts" or potentially used parts for repairs.
  • Factory help-tech line for diagnosis - Direct line to the manufacturer for the most cutting-edge repair information.
  • Factory-backed coverage - This product is factory-backed with financial security that you can rely on. You have the peace-of-mind to know this company will be around in 7-8 years when a claim needs to get paid.

We are excited about this next evolution of our business and look forward to serving you, our customers, in a more comprehensive way in 2025! We wouldn't be able to do this without you!

Inline_five is exactly correct in his advice.
Don’t worry. You are not breaking any laws when you do that. Businesses do it all the time for various things they buy and Florida realizes it. It’s an insurance/warranty license thing that Florida requires. Don’t let it slow you down.
…I used to live in Florida and still do some business there.

Whichever state you use for an address, you are going to get exactly one letter from Ford confirming your extended warranty purchase and you don’t even need that. You will be able to add the rewards points to your Ford Pass app and see that it’s there after a week or so.

I purchased my Ford ESP from Granger and they were great. Your prices on Ford ESP plans is super competitive. I would have never purchased the extended warranty at the local dealership prices, I would have just skipped the ESP.

My wife will hopefully be getting a new Toyota later this year so I'm definitely interested in these new plans you are offering, however, I'm a bit confused. Is this a third party warranty that Granger is now offering for other makes? This isn't the manufacturer extended warranty for other makes I'm assuming.

Got my Maverick extended warranty from Granger using payment plan and using my FordPass Rewards points for a down payment on it (another nice feature of the program). Referred my parents on their Expedition too and they were happy as well. Glad Granger is helping the community with the reasonably priced warranties because dealers always try to gouge you for about triple the cost.

Something along the lines of:

Title XXXVII - Insurance
Chapter 634 - Warranty Associations
Part I - Motor Vehicle Service Agreement Companies (Ss. 634.011-634.288)
634.031 - License required.

Universal Citation:
FL Stat § 634.031 (2024)

634.031 License required.—

(1) A person may not transact, administer, or market, attempt to transact, administer, or market, or in any manner hold itself out as transacting, administering, or marketing the service agreement business, on behalf of herself or himself or itself, in this state or from this state unless it is authorized to do so under a subsisting license issued to it by the office. The company shall pay to the office an annual nonrefundable license fee for the license.
(2) No person shall, from offices or by personnel or facilities in this state, solicit applications or otherwise transact service agreement sales in another state or country unless it holds a subsisting license issued to it by the office authorizing it to transact the same kind or kinds of service agreement business in this state.
(3) No person shall transact, administer, or market service agreements unless it holds a subsisting license issued by the office authorizing it to transact the same kind or kinds of service agreement business in this state.
(4) The office may, pursuant to s. 120.569, in its discretion and without advance notice or hearing issue an immediate final order to cease and desist to any person or entity which violates this section. The Legislature finds that a violation of this section constitutes an imminent and immediate threat to the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of this state.
(5) Any person that is an affiliate of a domestic insurer as defined in chapter 624 is exempt from application of this part if the person does not issue, or market or cause to be marketed, motor vehicle service agreements to residents of this state and does not administer motor vehicle service agreements that were originally issued to residents of this state. The domestic insurer or its wholly owned Florida licensed insurer must be the direct obligor of all motor vehicle service agreements issued by such affiliate or must issue a contractual liability insurance policy to such affiliate that meets the conditions described in s. 634.041(8)(b). If the Office of Insurance Regulation determines, after notice and opportunity for a hearing, that a person’s intentional business practices do not comply with any of the exemption requirements of this subsection, the person shall be subject to this part.
(6) Any person that is an affiliate of a licensed motor vehicle service agreement company which is domiciled in this state and which uses contractual liability insurance to qualify with the requirements of s. 634.041 is exempt from application of this part if the person does not issue, market, or cause to be marketed motor vehicle service agreements to residents of this state and does not administer motor vehicle service agreements that were originally issued to residents of this state. Any affiliated person operating from this state under this subsection must use a licensed motor vehicle service agreement company to administer all service agreements issued by such person in other states. If the office determines, after notice and opportunity for hearing in accordance with s. 120.569, that a person’s intentional business practices do not comply with any part of the exemption requirements of this subsection, the person shall be subject to this part. The motor vehicle service agreement company shall be liable for all acts of and responsible for all violations of this part by an affiliated person operating from this state.
(7) Any person who violates this section commits, in addition to any other violation, a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
History.—s. 3, ch. 59-110; ss. 13, 35, ch. 69-106; s. 3, ch. 76-168; s. 1, ch. 77-457; s. 2, ch. 78-231; ss. 2, 3, ch. 81-318; ss. 3, 32, 33, ch. 82-234; ss. 10, 68, ch. 91-106; ss. 2, 20, ch. 93-195; s. 1, ch. 95-245; s. 277, ch. 96-410; s. 1746, ch. 97-102; s. 1, ch. 2003-168; s. 1417, ch. 2003-261; s. 1, ch. 2006-272; s. 11, ch. 2010-175.

Get a PO Box out of state for a month, or use a relatives address.

Once purchased you can use at any dealer including in-state. It's a Ford warranty not a Florida warranty.
Exactly its not like say if you got a warranty in PA as a example then "moved" to FL that its not usable anymore.
