The top fan speed on the fords I've owned over the years has always been both loud and excessive. Really only useful for pushing more air when first turning on the vehicle so as to remove the existing hot air.

the next speed down was able to move cold air as fast as the compressor could make it.

I am just wondering if everyone's else's blower motor on high sounds exceptionally loud. I don't know if I'm just crazy but I don't think I've never ever heard a blower motor that sounds as loud. Don't know anyone else that has a Maverick might have to stop by the dealer and check out a new one to see if it's blower motor sounds like mine.
I never really noticed it before, but now that you mentioned it yeah, it’s loud. So I broke out my SPL meter and with the Maverick fan set to high and the windows closed, it’s showing 125 dB, so somewhere between the loudness of a rock concert and a jet airplane at takeoff.
