Looking to buy a bed cover!

My new '25 will be coming in March! As such, I am looking for a tonneau cover for the bed, and am open to suggestions. I want to spend under 1000$, and am hoping to get a solid trifold variant. I want it to be very waterproof, and solid enough plastic that it is hard to puncture.

Let me know what you all have tried/suggest!

None of them are completely waterproof, so don't get your hopes up.

The most waterproof covers were the old school full single piece covers that went down over the bed rails.

Yes I have a hard tri-fold cover. Not in your price range, and it still lets water in close to the cab and sides of the bed. It was better when new, as it ages (mine is 2 1/2 years old) the weather seals start to get harder and more water comes in. Water also slowly gets in through the bolts that mount it to the rails the cover sits in. I know because the planted bolts are rusting.

There was a spot on both sides where the bedrails have a small gap. I put a piece of weatherstrip there and it stopped that leak, and the front corners. Other than that there's minimal water that leaks in.

I guess gator is the way to go then. They have a 500-600$ option as well.

Yeah that one looks almost identical. Must be cheaper to use the aluminum panels vs the fiberglass-reinforced polymer . Has the same weight rating though, and longer warranty.
I haven't had any issues with mine.

Edit: That one looks like it doesn't fold up against the cab like mine.

I actually prefer that. The fold was kind of redundant looking, but we will see.

I've never taken it off. When I've hauled something I fold it against the cab.
