10,000 Maintenance check-up -- need to use Ford dealer to keep extended warranty valid?

2024 XL Hybrid: Do I need to have a Ford garage do the "scheduled" 10000 mile maintenance check-up in order to keep my extended warranty valid? Can I use my local independent garage and still keep Ford happy? Thanks

You can use a local garage. Just keep receipts and/or upload them and log to Ford Pass under the "Service History"

You can use a local garage if you want, there's no requirement to use a Ford dealer for ANY routine maintenance service - warranty issues/service would need a Ford dealer visit.
Also, you can do the 10k checks( and any maintenance) yourself, just keep your receipts for any fluids, filters, etc.. note the date and mileage on the receipt, I usually keep all my receipts for maintenance and/or repairs for my vehicles in a folder along with all the purchase documents.

But then I might have OCD...

Yes, you can use your trusted garage to do the 10k inspections & any maintenance if needed. My local shop includes the 10k inspections listed in the owner manual for free, when I get my oil changed.

Just keep your receipts, if you don't want to mess with adding them to your online Ford account or app.
