The same thing happened to me. They tested the battery several times and said it was fine, but it went into the sleep mode virtually daily.

Two week ago, I took it in for routine service and asked them to check the battery. They said the BCM recall/update would fix it and also said that it tested fine again. The next day, I made a 150 mile round trip mostly on highway and yet that night it went into sleep mode again.

Fed up, I called again the next morning and told them that it's not working. They took it in straight away and installed a new battery...

That's my experience. My 2023 Hybrid Lariat is not even 2 years old yet... ;(
Glad to hear you pushed the issue.

Truck has been in sleep mode after sitting in garage for less than two days.

I called the dealer and they said they had never heard of maverick battery problems!
I took mine in for service yesterday, had an appointment at 8:30, the service advisor told me the same thing. He wanted to keep it for 4 days. I said no, left with my truck. I had no faith in them after him saying he wasn't aware of any issue with the battery.

They're trying to help you by putting an analyzer in line between the battery and vehicle to observe any intermittent draws while off. The computers do all kinds of tests when off.

Wonder how many people recognize deep sleep without FordPass? And I don’t recall if there is a message on the driver info screen. I’ve only had 3 deep sleeps.

For all we know the much anticipated 1st quarter fix will simply remove all notifications of the event. Most could blindly go about in blissful ignorance as long as it starts.

There are enough other quirks we ignore to which the deep sleep feature shutoffs would be attributed to.

Manual doesn't indicate anything else shows it - since it's all about your remote access, really only matters if using Fordpass and can't access it.
Most people would start seeing the battery saver changes though, perhaps. Nothing like lights turning off earlier as it's darker earlier. Though it's so gradual may miss it.

Would be interesting to pop up info-system display admitting "Ford was unable to to obtain information about your truck overnight, please drive for awhile so we can spy on you"

I've had to use my key many times because the remote wouldn't work. Radio also shuts off when sitting in off or accessories and posts a message. on the screen. Says, System off to save battery. Please start engine. Bullshit!

That last word wasn't directed at anyone other than a dealership who sold this to me without telling me about this long standing issue. Is this why Ford only has a 3 year / 36000 mile warranty. Yes I know there is also a 100k 8 year warranty on hybrid they will weasel out of.

Weaseling out would definitely suck. Hopeful I don’t get a problem. But I and likely many others reached a hybrid buying comfort level because of the long warranty.

Blindly is right, you have no interior light when it is in deep sleep mode. They might not know why, but they will be in the dark.

I like to start with someone who acknowledges there is a known problem. I was told that the that the dealership\service department can pull up the reports of your vehicle showing the when the sleep mode event happened. Well that would be about everyday 30 minutes or so after the truck is turned off. I drive 15 miles to and from work 5 days a week. My app is basically useless. I actually have another ordered Maverick that has arrived, in Late November, but the dealership can't sell to me because of the backup camera recall on it. My current Maverick also is under that recall. So I will just wait it out until I get the new 24 Maverick. Don't really want to be without a vehicle for 4 days over a battery.

When Ford rumored they were come out with the 25 Hybrid AWD they stated it would have a larger battery to handle the load of AWD and that the MPG would increase. Originally I thought the increase battery size would be the hybrid battery itself, now I am thinking they were refering to the 12 volt battery. Which battery were they talking about?

is the bamg battery in the eco boost maverick the same as amg battery in the 2025 hybrid?

The replacement with an AGM and reprogramming the BCM is alone not likely going to solve the issue. If you read the description of the charging circuit for the Maverick it is only a trickle charger. Seems that they will need to replace equipment rather than just something as simple as reprogramming. If that were the case, why hasn't this happened in the 2022 and 2023 model years? This problem has been known for a very long time.
What is this DC-DC trickle charging? I only see the 12v battery being charged while running at 15.4V. Then after charging it steadily drops over night to as low as 11.7V. The flooded battery just does not have the ability to last without sulfating.

Ask what they are offering as a loaner while monitoring your truck for 4 days. Should not be an inconvenience to you.

Your dealer is either ignorant or not telling the truth. Either way I wouldn't trust them.

I agree, that is why I did not leave my truck with them. I will try they other dealer in my area another time. I also have another 24 Maverick that was ordered back in 22, that has now come in at the end of November. I am waiting to buy that one after they are able to sell it. It has the backup camera recall on it, just like the one I am driving now, with no current fix for it. I got a lot going on with this Maverick stuff.
