Experience at Discount Tire Direct and the BAP Wheels

Has anyone that has the BAP and still have the wheels that come with them gone to Discount Tire Direct for new tires? Did they do anything to protect the finish? I've never has painted/colored wheels before so it's not something I've every paid attention to.

Discount tire is top tier for all my wheels

they messed up one of my wheels, 800 a pop, they placed an order brand new one no questions asked, was a new guy who shouldn’t of been on my wheels lol

I’ve always taken my vehicles to Discount Tire and only once have I had an issue. The tech scratched one of my chrome King Ranch wheels and they replaced it without issue when I mentioned it to them. Just look the wheels over really well before leaving.

Discount tire direct WAS the online ordering for discount tire which may have had things not available in the stores. It has ceased operations and is now being handled by tire rack.com a WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF DISCOUNT TIRE. Bottom line you can buy online and have installed at discount tire, America's tire, tire rack, or if no stores available possibility a local affiliate or your own installer.

the 23-24 BAP wheel is the same, other than paint finish, as the 22-24 'black painted machined face' wheel that was optional on Lariats. I had a set of 255/55-18 mounted without issue.

every non-steel stock wheel today is painted in some way. yes, you might see damage easier on black paint like you have compared to silver, but tire shops have the tools and expertise to mount tires without damaging the wheels. low profile tires like on a corvette are far more difficult to mount than a maverick tire, so you'll have no issues at all at any reputable shop.

Thank you all for the insight and experiences. I've preferred getting my tires from Discount Tire Direct and looks like I will continue to do so.

I do everything at my very good Ford Dealership
Their tire prices are good.
Got 4 Falkin rubi treks on my escape. $147 each with a $150 rebate on their annual Black Friday sale.
Basically buy three get one free.
I take pictures of each clean wheel before they get it and I show them to the service writer.
If they scratch one I got proof it did not arrive like that.
No body but my Ford Dealership touches ‘Pepper’

Ask them if they use a "touchless" tire machine, has a pad and keeps a space off the wheel.
