2025 Window Lock - Not locking windows

1st thing I did with manual was the section list at start.
Red pen mark thru the sections that did not apply to the trim/options I had.
Also gave me an overview of where certain info was included, some of which didn't seem to make sense.
Then I went to those sections that did not apply and red pen thru the heading so I didn't even waste time skimming that page/section when going thru it looking.
Perhaps not surprising no where near 500 pages after doing that. Well, on XLT.

I was going to do the same thing, but then I would have to clean the screen on my phone every time I changed the page

The confusion comes in because you said this: " but the windows still operate from the drivers switch and all of the other independent switches."

Yes, I was pretty sure I checked the rear switches, but I guess not.

A good chunk of it, and after the lock was not working I read the window section. There is big bold text on LOCKING THE REAR WINDOW CONTROLS.

I assume your asking about a 2025 Maverick, I have a 2024 XLT hybrid and the window locks the passenger and rear windows. I have a reason to lock the rear windows but my wife wants to be able to operate the passenger side. Is there a work aound for this?

I have 24MY XLT - that post is true.

I looked it up in the manual and your correct,. I'm coming up for my first maintence and will bring it up.

I copied and pasted that from the 24MY manual. It's the same wording in all manuals. I just checked mine ('23 XLT) and it works... Window lock on: light is illuminated, rear seat switches are locked, drivers side can do all windows, passenger can do their window. Maybe there's more to it across different trims than the manual says or maybe Ford made a mistake in the manual?

Just thought of something...maybe the Mavs that lock the doorlocks themselves also mess with window locks just to mess with our heads? Just kidding!

no you aren't.
My window lock button locks out the rear window switches. While still allowing the front passenger to use their window switch as my video demonstrates.

Yours should operate the same as in my video.

Just to confirm - you personally checked this without her in the seat, just in case?
And I don't mean a sensor issue, but operator issue - which you should definitely not mention to her.
