Question, I have a 24 XLT FX4 and friend has a 22 lariat. Both have SB CAI, on mine I have a factory “unit” that’s attached and plugged into the CAI whereas the 22 did not come with this part. Can someone tell me what it is? Thanks

Since neither of those pictures show a stock intake, who knows what has been removed, what has changed, etc. Other than making more turbo noises and using a much more expensive filter, did the new intakes do anything useful?

That like the third Canadian with a hybrid commenting in the 2.0 threads about aftermarket parts with nothing productive to add. Sorry it's just a weird pattern iv noticed here. (I guess that's what the ignore button is for) lemonhead is correct

The part circled is the vacuum for brake booster and not included on lariat models as they use an electronic booster.

as for the SB intake, I’ve seen better throttle response, slightly better MPG, and the build up of boost better while maintaining lower intake temps.

I highly recommend the S/B intake- It's just a great piece of kit- Gives the truck a little more oomph, a slight grumble felt in the gas pedal, a pleasant uptick in the intake/Bov sounds and such. I removed the airbox and inlet over the weekend to do a trans fluid swap and it was easy to remove/replace- Looks great. The only thing I might improve upon is to add heat shield material to the bottom side of the turbo inlet pipe to replace the shield that comes with the OEM tube.
