Well thats cheating because ours is still the first Tremor Maverick on Maui. Either way yesterday we had some old freinds visiting and my wife Josi and I, her sister and her husband and our niece took them out on the road to Hana. We ended up going all the way around, I prefer to do that so I dont backtrack and I get to see the sun going down over the west Maui mountains when we make it back around to Ulapalakua. Its been pretty dry and the waterfall were just flowing a little so we didnt try to get alot of pictures of the scenery. So we took a few Maverick pictures.

We did go offroad with absolutely no issues at all. Honomanu was a breeze and we barely noticed we were on sand. Batman and Harvey had a great time playing in the river that runs out there at the beach. Now that we have the Maverick I think we are gonna go there more for picnic beach trips its such a nice spot 40 min from our house. On the otherside we went down to Plenty Kiawe to listen to the rocks rolling and let the dogs run again. There we cruised modeless over criss crossed 8-10" deep ruts. Then we took the hard way out which is all rain wash carved and rutted with shelf like rocks and asphalt ledges. Climbed right up though I did a on the fly engagement of the rear diff at the bigger shelf.

Overall I got 18.4mpg but you have to remember that our distance on the OD was 120 miles but as the crow flies its only 80 miles. Elevation went from 0 to 400 several times and ended up around 3200ft at the highest. We were also loaded up with 1000lbs of passengers and 400lbs of dogs and gear. My 5 year old fridge freezer that I paid $350 for worked great in the bed plugged into a 12v port i added back there. Even froze some of the drinks in 85 degree weather. The load was zero problem for our little truck. Rode comfy and zipped around effortlessly. It was also great for the tight one way bits squeezing by where other trucks would have had to wait.

Overall it was a great day trip took us about 9 and a half hours including pizza dinner at our freinds hotel. Driving time was just under 6 hours. Harvey got to smell Hana and Batman got to swim in the morning.

Also if you happen to have a topper for your dogs to ride in the bed. and also have the Ford tie down rails or possibly other types a battery powered Ryobi fan hangs perfectly on the rail lip to keep your dogs happy. I even laid back there with em around 1 pm for a little bit and without the truck even moving it was nice.

Looks like a winner. What brand of shell and how much (if I may ask) did it cost?

I havent camped with it yet, but its been down the Mississippi, the gulf coast, ran the border, climbed the mountains, jumped the ocean, and now has circled the 2nd tallest mountain in the world Haleakala(from its submerged base)

Its a ARE MX, with folding slider front, drivers side windoor, slider passenger(though I wish i did both windoors since they can easily be tied down far enough to keep the dogs in but let cool air through), and clothes hangers inside, with roof tracks that I fabricated crossbars for out of old bridge parts. Cost $4000 with the HPR paint($500 option).

We love it though I didnt want a carpeted interior but I will have to finish it inside the surface is a lil to fiberglassy.

Thanks will consider if my 23 ever gets here. Also what are the black items on the inside of the cap's roof; vents?

It doesn't have any roof vents. I ordered 4 clothes hangers. They are the big rectangles and they have food down hoop to hang stuff from. The center of the roof is thicker and reinforced, I believe it's the honeycomb structure aluminum but t could be plywood for all I know. Either way they are screwed into it. I want to pull the screws to check the threading.if it's machine thread, there will be nuts glass'd in and I would trust it to maybe 15 to 20 lbs each otherwise I would say maybe 5lbs each. But hey that's a folding chair or a bunch of beach stuff. The little black round bits are nuts for the roof rails bolts. I am looking at adding a aluminum strip of angle to them. It would further strengthen the roof rails as well as give me something to possibly hang 2 beach chairs off of and mount lights inside. I also plan on getting some white bedliner brush on paint to paint the whole inside of it.

I love the dogs. One eyeing the food. The other one licking its lips in anticipation.
Very nice truck too.
What no quick dip at "Little Beach" 😉
