Simple yellow tint for front turn signal light

This is just for me! I just want to share you all mtc a possibilities of change look in front end, because Is kinda boring color at front lights, all I see is just clear white color at front so I decided to buy a cheap yellow tint sticker on amazon to test fit and see what a difference will look with this simple mods. For me, I like what I see its not just all white color it has that yellow color. Some of you will not agree but some will. Everyone can tint what ever color they want because there are lots of available tint color stickers you can buy for head lights to use.

This is just a test fit, i bought a 25ft of yellow tint sticker. For me to do some adjustments for the right fit.

I will sure post the template soon, I just did the first dry fit but still have to do some adjustment on the template. I will let you know tomorrow. Thanks for checking out my thread

I don't get it.
I guess I'm a rare owner that doesn't sit and stare at the front (or back) of my Mav, but mostly sits behind the steering wheel.

Surfstar, yea your right. Its because some of us here like to change the look of the outside of our cars/trucks and some don’t like to change the original look of they’re rides. We are here to share our knowledge. I understand your point, hope you accept ours too

Totally agree - it's not for me, doesn't mean it is bad or worse. I did care about colors of taillights and side marker lights, etc in my 20s. Now if I want my vehicle to look better, I just wash it (which is like 3-4 times a year?).

Well I don’t know about others, my factory bulb might not have been LED, but it was amber (yellow).

I got the Lasfit switchbacks to elminate seeing the amber bulb behind the lens (I also tweaked Forscan to treat the switchbacks as DRLs), but the lens tint looks good.

Can you share the link to the tint film you used from Amazon? It's helpful for those who want to try your mod if they know where the hardware came from.

Hi Dewey, sorry but I do not recommend the one I bought because it doesnt have bubble release and is very thin ( hard to maneuver the film if its very thin ) . It will be a lot of bubbles and if the person will try to do the same thing like I did they wont like the outcome ( if your not experienced enough doing the wrap )

if anyone of you will do this light tint wrap look for a 2-3 mills thickness at least for easily to work on. I recommend brand name like Vivid wrap. I been using this brand for wraps some of my mods on my cars. It’s easily to work on.

Looks pretty cool. Kinda makes it look old school when vehicles had orange turn signal lenses and a white bulb inside. Nowadays, everything has gone to LEDs or colored bulbs so lenses are clear. I do wish the Maverick had amber rear turn signals instead of the typical brake light/turn signal combo. A lot of domestic manufacturers use this design since it looks cleaner and there's no regulation in the U.S., Canada, or South America for rear amber turn signals for whatever reason. To me, it's a safety concern and causes a lot of ambiguity with other driver's intentions. Sometimes you can't tell if someone is pumping the brakes or has their signal on, especially when some bulbs are out. Same goes for hazard lights. You have to rely on the third brake light to tell whether they're braking or not if their hazards are on. An amber solves the ambiguity since all the lights are separated. The U.S. needs to start implementing cars with that design but as long as they're only sold for our market, it'll never change.

I have been using Vvivid vinyl for years on my mountain bike and Harley. Air release makes this stuff awesome. havent done headlight tint yet, but Im sure its similar

Lol, I'm with you but to each their own. I'm not old but I imagine ours is the old timers view. Personally I prefer it as the seasoned/experienced view. Sometimes I can even be cynical about it because my life is dominated by demand for my time. So unless something adds function, I tend not to value it. Not really meant to offend those who do, just the current state of my fishbowl peering out to someone else's.

There once was a time when I did things just for looks. Depended on WHO was looking

. Now I've already got the attention of a good group of people and it's all about maximizing my time spent with them.

Here is the finish yellow tint you will see the difference without and with yellow tint that you can see the turn signal glass will be yellow even in day time but without the tint ( stock Maverick front Head lights is just plain clear white. This is the look I'm talking about
