Agreed / Good Video: not real useful for most; versus the times it would get in the way.

Video won’t load for me. But I’ve got one ordered for mine as it would fit what I’m using the truck for.
if they offered a fold away extender like on the F150 I'd be on it in a minute.

I got one since I don’t have space for a trailer. Living in the city it comes in very handy, I use it a lot to keep things within reach such as groceries backpacks, keeping the can area clear

I had one on my 2022 XLT which was totaled out in a wreck. (someone rear ended me and pushed me into a Suburban. During the 20 months I owned the truck I used it twice to haul an 8 ft. ladder). When I am hauling I use my old Mazda B-3000 (aka Ford Ranger).
The bed extender is nice but I don't think it is very useful. If you are hauling things like boxes of tile or something it actually gets in your way. My 2024 will not be used much for hauling unless my old rig bites the dust.

I strongly considered the bed extender when I ordered my truck, but it said it wouldn't work with the hard roll up cover. In the OP's video it isn't easily apparent why. Obviously it works with the soft roll up cover? The rails must somehow interfere?
If not for that, I would've ordered one.

Possibly. It doesn't say it wouldn't work with hard roll up cover, and appears to show it with a folding tonneau cover? I like the shape better, too.
I think of all the times I've tried securing 20lb propane tanks to the sides of the bed. With this setup, it could be secured to a rail in about the middle of the tank, making it nice and secure.
I usually wrap a bungee thru the guard at the top and I was always concerned the bottom would flip out since it was usually hooked high on the bed side.

This one could be handy! Keep groceries from sliding, flip it over to haul more stuff.I use mine, rarely, from my 2005 Sport Trac. Mostly takes up space in the outside garage. Bought at a salvage years ago for $13.

You are right about not using it much. I made one years ago for my f150 and then shrunk it to fit the mav. Mostly a few times a year to get firewood, but it definitely works well. Also the price was right!
