Got a chance a while back to join east county off roaders on Facebook to do a very mild run and do some flexing and rub checks while giving for a good cause. Here is a few pics , mostly fire roads through south laguna area to boulevard area then finished in lark canyon , part of McCain valley .
I was solo and forgot the GoPro again so not too many good shots .
here is a link of about 20 pics

Your truck is coming along nicely. Even with all your suspension upgrades the truck still looks low compared to a couple of the lifted jeeps in the pics, although you do obviously have plenty of usable suspension under it.

I'm highly impressed with the amount of articulation you've gained. The tires look like they completely fill the available fender space, did you have any issues with tie rub at all?

You have way more skill and ambition than I - or many others - do. most people would throw a spacer lift on the truck and call it done.

Looking great. I really hope for takes cues from you and does a Raptor version. Even if we only get 31s(and clearance for em), more suspension articulation, flares, and stickers id be happy. One thing I just thought of that could be a game changer on a Raptor spec Maverick would be a lower final gear. With the Lobo they were willing to pull a gear from the trans, so it wouldnt be that much of a stretch for them to get a gear in their that sits at a lower ratio than the Tremors after the 31" tire is calculated in.

That would give it more kick aswell without having to increase power as much. Though a simple off the shelf turbo and tune would be great.

Honestly, I think it's the way to go, even for my hybrid that I want to take to more remote campsites, the only question is if I would want a Flatout lift or just get a used ATV... Not much point in getting a lift if it offers no extra travel and I would likely sell the truck if I had the issues with an RC lift that so many do when it bottoms out. Just doesn't seem worth it to me to get extra clearance that you can only really use on flat ground,

Add a hybrid support, rather than dominant option, that way you get the torque low while still mainly being an ICE. At least that is what my understanding of what Toyota is trying to do, is. Seems like a great idea if you do it right and don't build the every-day use case as the upper maximum of the vehicles capabilities like seems to be the issue.

This is absolutely fantastic! Absolutely solidifies my decision of Flatout or fuck it, because that is quite the noticeable difference! I see you had to remove the liners and do some trimming, do you find that was worth it to get the bit extra out of the tires? What size are these, btw? Beautiful Maverick!

Thank you
They are 255/75/17
Or equivelant to a 32”x10.50
Am shooting for a 33” x11 as finish size here in a few .
A new front subframe getting tested soon .
It allows for 4” drop bit almost 1” more center clearance and adjusts the axle angles and wheelbase for better tire clearance .also made from chromoly as the factory one rips and ovals at the rear a arm bolt with big hits .( cheap mexican shet metal) Front bumper cover will need trimming . But will be doing my own fiberglass fenders and bumper cover to fix all that with 4” flare and larger openings.
I am still designing new rear setup for the trailing arm mounts and lengths to get better rear travel as the short trailing arm is major restriction in off road comfort.
Time and money , time and money!

This sounds insanely cool! Just think about all the families you are feeding with that money, too! Makes it hurt a bit less maybe lol

Very much look forward to seeing how this all comes! You're certainly living my (more affordable) (than a Ranger Raptor) dream!

Wheel well liners are just left out for working on it purposes.
Could re install with cut out area near footwell but i still get a little rubbing at full lock , especially flexing off road , some has to do with spacers i am running at the moment for strut clearance as i am trying to fit some new 2 1/2” resevoir struts in place as even the flat out 2” overheat on fireroads ( at least the way i drive).
With just some minor trimming a 31” should clear with the flat out cranked up . I would suggest getting them with resevoirs up front if you are going to off road more than a couple miles at a time.

That’s Awsome. I love I’m not the only one pushing. The maverick off road. Although mine is nowhere near yours. What I lack I. That I make up with the above average testicular fortitude I possess.
Or as some refer the f it I’m going for it.

Here in Canada it's 80k and there's like 3 options you can add to take it to 82... not that big of a deal

OP is likely nearing 50k+ CAD minimum after labour.

They're not comparable, and that's the point, I would say there is a very fair and distinct 20k CAD difference between my Mav, this Mav, and. Ranger Raptor

That's how I ended up down a bit of a rock crawl and to the other side of a swamp on a closed road in my hybrid, these trucks can do all sorts of things if you just let them!

They certainly should not be able to, and I was an idiot for how deep I went down the trail, but I made it though, out the other side, and ever onwards beyond.

Looks like a ton of fun! Man, I wish Texas had "HuUUUGE ..tracks of land" that was publicly accessible for off grid camping. Other than state parks, everything here is privately owned, unless I'm mistaken, which is often the case. If I am, someone please enlighten me. I'd love to try my hand at off grid camping.
