Decided to check the Ford Performance website for new listings!!! LOOK WHAT THEY GOT!!

Added a new photo. This is a can I copy your homework kind of product lol. I am fully under the impression there is a licensing-type deal between the two. Or Ford stole the photos lmao.

the instructions say its incompatible with the rear cab spoiler
nothing about tonneau covers
it looks like it has the hard roll up cover installed in the picture?

I chatted with them about covers, they are supposed to email me a response when they find something out. I'll post that information if/when I get it.

I love the looks of the racks.....a..la.. Back to the Future Toyota with KC lights.

I just don't understand the bars all the way down the side? (Maverick Marketing: "hey out bed sits low to the ground so you can lean over and grab things from inside the bed")

☝so much for that

One of the pictures on the site shows that you can install it without the bars going all the way down.

I especially like the comment in the instructions:
"This accessory has an aesthetic purpose and is merely decorative. Use in load and traction applications situations is not recommended."
So, if I'm reading that right, this is a "rack" that isn't intended to carry ANY load, since it's "merely decorative"...

Nah, I'm good...

Ditto.

Why is "performance" in the name?

Ah... stage "show" or "TV show" performance only I guess.

If this were stout, I could totally imagine attaching the winch hook of a quad to the top bar and having the quad pull itself into the bed. Driving up seems dangerous.

Fairly certain this is Ford just reselling the Keko Sports Bar that initially came out for the Brazil market, and became available in North America on the Keko site sometime last year.

https://kekousa.com/product/sports-bar-ford-maverick/

Looks to only be compatible with their (Keko's) tonneau covers.

I was thinking the same thing. The only difference I noticed was the Ford one has Maverick stamped into the side plate.

Definitely an extremely easy change (part geometry stays the same, just some different text and holes), and something I could see a supplier happily doing if it meant pretty much guaranteeing volume sales through a company as large as Ford.

This has to be the most worthless accessory I have ever seen for the Maverick.

Yes, even more useless than the 3D printed FITS chicken nugget and sauce cup holder.
