Totally speculative at this point, but could the OTX name be for the Ford Maverick??

https://www.musclecarsandtrucks.com/otx-trademarked-by-ford-possible-trim-level-for-maverick/

OTX TRADEMARKED BY FORD: POSSIBLE TRIM LEVEL FOR MAVERICK?
OTX Has No Prior History, But It Sounds Rugged

Ford Motor Company has gone to apply for the “OTX” trademark with intent for use on “vehicles, namely, automobiles, pick-up trucks, electric vehicles, sport utility vehicles, off-road vehicles, and their structural parts.” The trademark filing took place on May 14, 2021. While it doesn’t sound like a nameplate for a future product, it could be a trim level, possibly on the 2022 Ford Maverick small pickup truck.

Ford Maverick OTX?

While the ‘OTX’ name is a mystery, it’s a possibility that the trim level could be adorned to the Ford Maverick. It’s expected that the upcoming small pickup truck will have some semblance of off-road capabilities, and could be used for the truck in lieu of the new ‘Timberline‘ trim level that recently debuted on the 2021 Ford Explorer. The Timberline sub-brand indicates a touch of ruggedness to Ford’s otherwise more pedestrian vehicles outside of the Ford Bronco, Ranger, and F-150 families. The FX4 trim level could also make its way to the upcoming Ford Maverick, as it’s found on both the F-Series and Ranger line of trucks also.

Other OTX Possibilities

This is a developing story, and so far details remain scarce on the OTX name at the time of this writing. So if it’s not set to be part of the Ford Maverick family, or even as a concept vehicle, it could perhaps emerge as part of another vehicle family, such as on the Mustang Mach-E, or maybe even on the new Ford F-150 Lightning.

What’s your best guest, fair readers? Do you think Ford Motor Company will introduce the OTX name as yet another off-road trim level? Or will it perhaps represent something completely different? Give us your best guesses in the comments below, while we work to uncover exactly what this new trademark could mean.

Yeah, I saw that too, but you beat me to posting it. Maybe the Timberline trim in the poll should be updated to OTX. It is all still speculation though.

The reason I thought the maverick would get the Timberline trim is that these rims look fairly similar to the new explorer Timberline rim's ...but maybe it's just my imagination đŸ€”

The truth is out there, for those that can see it ;)
I, unfortunately, am one of the blind ones. I tried looking, really I did.

I did find it curious that when you go to http://www.ford.com/Maverick that you get an "access denied" message, but any other non-existent links you type in place of "Maverick" just redirects back to Ford's main page. đŸ€”

Ok. I can't take it anymore. I just ended my year plus of stalking this forum and registered as a member JUST to tell you this:

I saw your cryptic message in another thread from a couple weeks ago. What does it mean? How do I decipher it? How did nobody else see it?

Also, hello everyone. I'll try to participate bit. I was hoping my '14 Focus could make it to the Maverick launch so I could at least test drive it out to see if it would work for me, but alas, I was forced to buy a new vehicle a month ago and couldn't beat the incentives on the Escape. I'll still keep an eye out of the Maverick.

Also also (to add to this threads discussion), could the OTX trim possibly be the name of the base commercial oriented Maverick? It's been rumored that a fleet version could come out. I mean "OTX" does sound like something more outdoors-y or premium, but we've seen before that names are just name to manufacturers. OTX could be the fleet package for the XL trim (sort of like how STX and FX4 exists for the trucks).

I believe the post with all the numbers are a hexadecimal representation of the long coordinates to locations in Michigan. 2A = 42 and -54 = -83 which is about Detroit.
