Since getting my LOBO last March, I’ve been considering lowering it. I went back and forth between springs and coilovers, and ultimately decided that springs were the right choice for me. Over time, I saw several photos posted on Facebook & MTC, which helped spark my interest but also left me wondering which springs to choose.

To help with the decision, I put together a simple Excel spreadsheet comparing the manufacturer-specified lowering specs for both the standard Maverick and the LOBO Maverick.

In the end, I decided to go with the H&R Super Sport springs. I also ordered the SPC rear camber arms and the SPC front EZ cam bolts.

Hopefully someone finds this chart useful.

I thought the factory drop in the rear is 1.1 not 1.5?

No problem. All of the numbers are manufacturer estimates based on lowering. Not all manufacturers list the LOBO.

MFG STD Spec = Standard Maverick MFG Estimated on lowering
MFG LOBO Spec = LOBO Maverick MFG Estimated on lowering
LOBO OEM MFG STD = This is the OEM LOBO Drop minus the Standard Maverick MFG Estimated on lowering.

When reviewing the lowering amounts in the manufacturer LOBO specifications, the numbers did not appear to add up. As a result, I created a chart to compare them.

One would expect that if a spring manufacturer is using the same part number for both Maverick models, the expected LOBO lowering would equal the standard Maverick manufacturer spring estimate minus the LOBO OEM.

Thanks for the stats! Still shopping for springs, and this helps.

This is a great cheat sheet!
Below is our Steeda 555-8224 Maverick Sport Lowering Springs (2021-2023) on a non-Lobo.

Haven't gotten our hands on a Lobo to get some good comparisons of.

I was curious why it was not the same drops on the Lobo. But then I found out curb weights.

Base EB AWD is 3,698LBS
Base Lobo is 3,814LBS

Not a paid testimonial, I just really like them.

Easy to install, great springs, great ride, and at $329 great price. I upgraded my 2024 Ford Maverick XLT AWD 4KTow with the 61-3430 Good-Win Racing & Progress Technology, and I couldn’t be happier!
