Oddly enough I had an xlt fx4 4k and a hybrid lariat for a time. Rear height was the same but the hybrid was taller at the front wheels. I think I posted pictures on here last year.I know FX4 intoduces a 'mono-tube performance shock' (different part numbers have been confirmed by others in other posts).. but yeah, the ride height is no different.
I would like to see a Hybrid XLT parked next to an EB XLT (say with AWD an 4K or FX4) to see the ride height difference.. I can't help but imagine that with the focus on fuel economy of the hybrid that Ford was tempted to have it sit just a tiny bit lower to improve aerodynamics.. I wonder if even the EB FWD sits lower than the an EB AWD...
The only thing i can think is the fx4 4k adds more weight to the front.
