Stumbled across this video on YouTube, I was looking to see what a bone stock XLT FX4 is capable of. Forgive me if it has been posted elsewhere on the board. I was impressed by the Mav's AWD capability. Not too shabby at all. This is gonna be fun!

Ho hum,
Stock XLT hybrid can do that too. I've tried it, didn't need a YouTube video either.

 Maybe so. I'd bet there are places an AWD FX4 can get to that a FWD hybrid can't. It's a technology thing. Pretty sure my FX4 won't be getting 40 mpg. But, I'll be able to deal with that.

Got out of a washed out Stillwater campground in Upstate Vermont pulling the camper using Wet/Slippery range, camp ranger said we'd have to shelter in place for a week before they could regrade the roads, ha, Maverick is unstoppable!

I had a FWD Escape and I guarantee it would not have done that!

Maybe not 40 but on my way home from the dealer after picking up my truck last Saturday, I got +30mpg on a secondary two lane road cruising at 50 and slowing down to 35 through the small towns along the way. Right now the computer which has not been reset including the 39 testing miles at Hermosillo is reading 25.1 mpg.

I'd say the AWD FX/4 tax is not costing me a whole lot and should only get better as the 2.0 EgoBeast gets broke in.

I thought it was cool. Living here in Sofla I've heard of those tall things, oh yeah, hills. I was wondering how much a better set of tires would help. ( We do have hills at the landfills, you know Mount Trash more)

@TrailMaster what rack do you have installed? It looks like it is compatible with a "top of rails" cover?

One might if they have yet to have their Maverick delivered. Besides, it's fun and educational to watch Maverick YouTubes. Let him have it.
