Had a 1990 Ranger years ago and always missed having it. Our vehicles were very old so last summer when
the order banks opened up I ordered a Mav and so far - have enjoyed the hec out of it. For me the size is just right.

70 years old and retired from being an electrician, running a business and my last job was as a nuclear operator in an NGS. I grew up with mini trucks my father had I think 5 Datsun/Nissan trucks and I had an 81 Datsun 4x4 standard cab. Also had a 94 and 2000 king cab Ranger and some F150's. I have been waiting for years for something like the Maverick to come out and so glad I was able to finally get one. 2024 XLT with 4K tow package FX4 package and Copilot 360. Added spray in bedliner, mud flaps and weather tech floor liners and put an extra cubby in the bed. I built an all composite terdrop trailer that hooked to the maverick with the tailgate down so I could travel and camp with my motorcycle in the pickup bed. Went to BC and back with that rig.

I have since sold that camper and am now building an all composite truck bed camper. I have lots of videos on youtube showing how to make compsite RV's. I will try to make a thread about the truck bed camper on this site soon.

Thanks for allowing me to join! I just had my 84 birthday on October 28, and my wife allowed me to order a 2025 Maverick Ruby Red Lariat hybrid. I've been a Ford guy all my life. Always buying the "top of the line" models usually when they are 3 years old. This is my first new Ford in quite a while. We will use it mostly to travel from our Clarksville, Virginia summer home and our new winter home in St. Augustine, FL. I was impressed with the fuel mileage. I am a retired Air Force Command Chief Master Sergeant (E-9)(33 years service) Combat Communications. After retirement, I worked as a "spotter" in NASCAR. Now fully retired living on "Buggs Island Lake" in "Southside Virginia". Can't wait for the new Maverick!

I'm 69 and recently retired. For 27 years I worked as a passenger train maintenance technician in
a large city. Before that I was an avionics tech and worked for Pan Am Airlines at LAX.
I enjoy troubleshooting, problem solving, and repair work.

In my 20s and 30s I did a lot of work on my cars and rebuilt engines and manual transmissions.
With the exception of an automatic transmission that failed, I did all the repair work myself.
To save a buck I only bought used vehicles.

Then during my 40s I accepted more job responsibility and worked long hours on my job.
I began to buy only new cars and let someone else work on them. I got tired of turning a
wrench. Today I'll pop the hood and do preventive maintenance. Anything more than that I bring
it to a shop.

The 2025 Lariat I have on order is a retirement gift to myself.

Nice. I am still there twice a year for a week. More than that, actually, because I work the various other events and fair and whatnot, but NASCAR week is by far the best.
