As I have unfortunately discovered...Thanks for the reply!
Oh I might add I'm now a bum. Although financed from previously working. :)

I was brought up, you don't work you don't eat, you don't work no roof over your head. Sadly not the case anymore.

You will find that some people have more information filled out in the forum profile than others, but a lot of what you're asking is available by clicking their profile name and then selecting "about". Some even have their birthday. One lady had her complete street address until I messaged her and advised her to take it down. She didn't realize it was displayed.

I appreciate all the trepidation in answering this - nice to know others around here are equally or even more inclined than me to believe that big data is a problem. As I've answered this elsewhere on this forum and have nothing to lose, I'm a 30 year old land surveyor (BS in Environmental Science, back at school now for an additional associates) at a company that refuses to own and maintain a vehicle for frequent field use. We get stuck renting trucks of whatever flavor is available from our local car rental place and floating the costs for that on our credit cards for a month at a time, so when the need came up for something new and the Mav was being advertised with basically exactly what I'm looking for in mileage and capability, I talked the wife into letting me order one. I've got 3 car seats in the family, still, so it's probably not going to completely do everything I could need in a vehicle, but for work purposes and taking a kid or two wherever they need to go, it seemed pretty ideal.

For work, I really need to have AWD capabilities, but I'd rather have ordered the hybrid just for the fuel savings. Let the record reflect, though, that I still see a definite need for ICEs and wish people would stop making purely environmental arguments for electric and hybrid vehicles.

I don't really know why people are so suspicious about this general info. This is a silly truck forum, FFS. Nobody is getting stalked or anything. And besides, given what is already known by tech companies about us all, simply letting strangers know your occupation is a weird place to draw the line. It isn't really dangerous in any way or particularly revealing.
I'm 52. I used to work in IT but got fed up with the people. The wife and I discussed it and decided I would be happier working part time (and we could do it financially), so now I drive a school bus and mentally torment children. I'm a lot happier.
My existing vehicle is near EOL, and the hybrid Maverick is suited to what we want to do more of, hiking, camping, cycling, road trips, etc. The price is right. It will fit in the garage. All good.

We all probably know all kinds of useless information. The total number of members is displayed on the front page of the forum near the bottom of the page. Sample size of less than 100 was my best guess based on my observations of discussions on this form since I joined back in June, but all of the previous posts are readily available to anyone with the time to research it.

That is a beautiful FJ40. You should put a picture in the Vehicle Showcase section.
Thanks for knowing that it's an FJ40. One guy called it a Land Rover:cautious: See you know all kinds of things:) This is what's under the hood.

Speak for yourself, I'm currently stalking three members, but I value my privacy so I won't tell you which three.

Sweet "mentally torment children." Always fun ;) I spent 5 years as the Program Director for a Boys Home right out of college.

Forums are always interesting. You never know what will get a rise out of folks.
I'm 58, in engineering for a medical device company. My first car was my grandma's 1970 Maverick that I got in 1979 and it was rusting out for the second time. Hoping I have better luck with this Maverick!

I used to work in IT. You're currently stalking four. One of them is my other account.

Purchasing Maverick because my 2019 Ford F150 Super Crew is too difficult for my aging parents to get into when I need to take them to necessary appointments.
