XLT Hybrid delivered to dealer today!!

My Velocity Blue XLT hybrid was shipped to my dealer today.
Pretty basic. Only added XLT package, trailer hitch, floor liners, full sized spare and 400w inverter
Ordered 6/14
Built 10/27
Shipped 12/15
At dealer 12/30
Estimated delivery (to Kentucky) was 1/11-1/17, much earlier than the estimate.

I paid MSRP which was $24,275, minus $500 Farm Bureau discount.

In the commonwealth of Kentucky, not only do we pay 6 percent sales tax on purchase, we pay property tax each year on vehicles.
I am taking delivery Sunday, 1/2, so that way, I will pay just the sales tax in 2022, and not have to pay property tax until 2023.
By waiting until 2022 to take delivery, I am saving about $400.

I understand Carvana, Vroom, etc.. are paying top dollar for Mavericks. Something to consider when your hybrid arrives.

My daughter is new to Kentucky (last year). I've tried to figure out this vehicle property tax so we wouldn't have any surprises to no avail...
Any idea what this tax would be for a NADA Trade-In value of $17,550?

Depends on what city/county she is located in.
I live in Independence, Kenton County.
A value of $17,550 would be a tax of $275 plus $31 for the plate and clerk fee.
I would suggest you or she call the county clerk's office

Paying Property Tax on Texas vehicles would suck! I know the heart beats a little faster once you get an estimated delivery date! The long wait is about to be over. Please let us know your first impressions after getting your Hybrid. I placed my A/Z Plan order on October 18 in Dallas so I'm still in for a long wait. I lived in the Houston area from 1981-1992.
The good thing is our state sales tax is only 6 percent.
We also have a state income tax but it is not too much.
I will let you know when I pick it up Sunday.
