With Ford Pass and cell phone question

I had an XL before I got my XLT and yes, Fordpass does work with an XL. Also, the suggestion in an earlier post about the external keypad is an good idea. My '23 XLT has one and it has saved me a couple times.

IDK if this is the same on an XL, but my XLT tailgate locks along with the doors and cannot be opened. Is that different?

Yes, the XL has Ford Pass and you can unlock it remotely.

XL doesn't have a power lock on the tailgate. So, it doesn't have that problem.
