I have a junk set of 16 steel wheels off I dont know what, but the pattern fits. I am gonna try out some day. If It works I will wait till the factory tires wear out then buy a set of steels that fit and paint em how I like. Im thinking HPR and Cyber Orange with one of the colors as a pinstripe. Should look good on a Tremor. Will probably go with 245/75r16. May even stick with the Falkens. My brother inlaw has those on his WJ in that size. They are alternately listed as 31x10.0r16. Not quite the perfect 50/50 rim/tire ratio but close enough to wheel.

Please let us know how it goes. The idea of fitting that Method 16” is really exciting to me. It only weighs 19 Lbs so with the right tire I think you could get a 30.5” or maybe 31” diameter without going over the weight of the stock setup, maybe even cut a few lbs. Pulling the mass of the wheel in could offset pushing the mass of the tire out.

A similar (or maybe even slightly reduced) unsprung weight with a ~31” setup would be pretty cool.

I doubt it will reduce weight much if at all. If the Methods fit maybe, but my guess is thinner steel wheels are gonna be it if anything. Im also not opposed to shaving a mm or 2 off calipers. I doubt I will get around to it before september. We are so busy this month. But one day I will.

I am old, I would like for sidewall on the tire. I would never use a 20 or 22. Just for style?
I'm 43 but grew up with people born in the 1920's, haha. So I'm young but think old.

I agree about wanting more sidewall in general for a softer ride, but don't mess with Maverick. You will be more than happy with Maverick at 17". I'm used to running 15"-16" wheels as well. Just air down the tire 1-2 psi. I can't tell the ride difference between my old minivan's 225/70 R16 and Maverick's 225/65 R17.

Cold pressure 32 psi. I have not messed with Maverick since airing down to 35 psi in Feb. I'm gonna air back to 35 when it gets any lower.

I'm 39 but my dad was born in 40. I grew up with carbs standard tools. If the Maverick was strictly on road for me I would be fine with 17s (mostly). But forgot off-road the the 50/50 rule is where it's at 31s are close enough on 16s, but on 17s and having moderate strength independent suspension, it's gonna be a lot of wear with moderate wheeling. My goal is longevity of components.
