Hey guys, forgot to post on her but last week me and my wife did the entire white rim trail Solo near Moab Utah. It was our first time but definitely not our last. We have now done in the Maverick; The Mojave Rd, Lost coast 4x4 trail, saline valley hot springs in Death Valley and now this and I have to say this one was special. I highly recommend recommend this to anyone into a little adventure. It is very remote so be prepared and the whole trail is in. canyonlands national park in Utah so you will have to get a Back country pass and they limit the trail to 4x4s with low range but they didn’t check mine lol. The truck did fine although there were some sectional why that I definitely understand why they had their requirements.

Awesome trail will definitely be going back

I got the Eibach pro coils with and Rears installed just in time along with Timbren active off-road bump stops which helped the ride a lot and actually made it feel like the rear end of the truck was supported. I also added skid plates and rock sliders before the trip and I’m very glad I did as I was sliding down some pretty large ledges at some point and got to crusted my skid plates and rock sliders

I've been down there a few times in my various Tacomas.
That's a nice camping setup, I'd go the same route but my trophy wife would not like it. AND, I'm selling my Transit campervan, so it looks like I'll be going camping by myself for a while.

Poison spider mesa. Drop off is so tall that rear bumper is hung up and rear tires aren’t even touching, with 38’s and 6” lift.

Great stuff. I was just out recently. And looked at that White Rim trail from above (Canyon Lands upper)

Thought it looked good for a SxS. But guess it can't be done since its in the NP.

Hey Matteus!

Thanks for posting this... Just last night I announced to my wife that I want to take my younger son on the White Rim for his Spring Break 2026 in my Maverick. We had done a trip two years ago to Canyonlands and Arches and went down the White Rim entrance on the Mineral Bottom side and stayed one night at the closest campground on that side (I am forgetting the name), but only went on that first little section. Ever since then I have had the bug to go back and do the whole White Rim, but was also wondering a little bit if I might be pushing it with ground clearance. So really helpful to hear that you made a successful trip. I built myself a custom pop up hardshell camper similar to yours and have since lifted the truck with a flatout suspension setup and bigger AT tires, so I am now looking to pay off all that work with fun trips. I love Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. Couldn't live there because it is too hot, but it is astounding and fuels my soul. Feels serendipitous that you posted this as affirmation to make it happen. Here's a Death Valley photo from a few months ago to keep the Maverick camping vibes going. Best!

This is awesome. Thanks for posting. We did this trail a few years ago in a jeep and tents. But can't wait to go back.

When I've been down there; it's just a maintained dirt/gravel road, nothing special, but there are some tight switchbacks. Having said that, I've seen camping trailers down there, so it's definitely not too difficult to navigate. Like the Moki Dugway.
However, I haven't been down there in over a decade, so maybe the road fell into disrepair, but looking at these pics, I don't think so. You can take a regular passenger car on it without issue.

It's definitely a bucket list area to visit.

Thankfully my wife is always up for an adventure but this win did get us a little nervous on some of the climbs and decentes. Very narrow and high up with a cliff on your side and it can get pretty off camber at times
