What is everyone hoping for that Ford will come out with next for the Maverick.

I think AWD Hybrid will be soon. They just don’t want to throw to much out there at once.

PHEV might come soon too.

A full EV will likely be years away. As FoMoCo and VWG are working on a new EV platform.

I’m sure some of you would like a “Raptor” version. Basically a Tremor package similar to the Bronco Sport Badlands. Which many are saying is the most capable compact in the USA.

What I personally want is an ST!
Take the Ford Lariat drop in the 2.3L ecoboost with 270hp 310lbft. Dual clutch rear. Lower it. Sporty 18” wheels. And a sporty interior for under $40k

ST please w/ 2.3T! I also want to see a white exterior color that isn’t “fleet white”. Toss Space White or Star White as an option!

I’ll be buying a Maverick when it’s an EV.

I decided on a fairly bare bones “Custom” Silverado a few weeks back for essentially the sole reason that I have a kid on the way, and we’ll probably have another in the next few years (hopefully.)

The extra second row room for car seats, the dog, etc. just made too much sense. Once my kid(s) are past toddler range I’ll most likely get rid of the Silverado and be able to buy a fairly nicely appointed Maverick, hopefully as an EV.

Yes a more off road oriented version would be very cool. A curb crawler :)
I think that may come soon. Like a tremor package. Taking the same suspension and differential set up from the Bronco sport. Which many experts say is the best offroad compact right now

I think you’re right. I hope most of the hardware can be retrofitted to an early Maverick without the package.

You just need the rear differential. And suspension. That’s about it. But the biggest thing is the modes. I’m sure a Tremor package will have some kind of GOAT mode better than the fx4

Rear diff for sure but I wonder if there’s any electronics/wiring/software that’s needed to make it work. I haven’t really studied how it all works on the Bronco Sport.

Ford sure did leave the door wide open for other on and off-road variants. This product has the potential to appeal to a seriously wide range of types of customers.
