Any of the Kia homelink mirrors with the same windshield connection as the Maverick should work. I used this mirror

Search this forum everywhere for kia mirror 25 pages of hits. They are made by Gentex and lots of cars come with one version or another. I do not remember where I found link to a utube where guy showed how to rebuild his Mercedes $600-$800 mirror using Inside gentex mirror junkyard parts from different brands of vehicles.

The mirrors aren't even branded as Kia. What made them special was the price- around $35 shipped where all the other brands were $80+.

I've read the Kia parts places now aren't as quick to sell them without a Kia VIN. (I bought two, works great in my old Miata, also.)

This prompts a question I've had. There is a power adapter cable available for dash cams, basically using a T-connector from the plug on the back of the mirror. However, I checked the mirror in my 2022 XLT Lux and there is no plug there.

So, are these mirror upgrades only applicable to Lariat trim or is there something else people are doing to make these work on XL and XLT trims?

Thanks for those videos. I would have liked to use one of those T-connectors for my dash cam but they aren't compatible with the Maverick wiring from what I can see there.

I actually used these. Smaller and better contact IMO. Of course, direct wiring is best if possible.

After an extensive search (dealers, ebay, FB Marketplace, Craig's list, etc.) I couldn't find one. Settled for an expensive Gentex GNTX-1124 Auto-Dimming Gen 4 Model HFCHL4. Works perfectly, however.
