What is this sound?

What was it?

Some sort of big nut that fit perfectly in a gap between the brake caliper and the brake shield. In rolling around in the video I posted as I spin it without the tire on it

I guess a black walnut like some said. In the 2nd picture it’s hard to see but the nut fit perfectly in the gap caused by the shape of the shield

Oh man, those squirrels get into everywhere and sure have big nuts!

Better put that nut back into the engine. The squirrels powering the flywheel need it. Honestly you may want to search around your engine bay for signs of nasty rodents.
