Sitting in my car reading in a parking lot and my ‘24 Hybrid keeps making this noise. It’ll stop for a few minutes and start back up. Anyone else have this same noise?

Engine is off, and I only just recently got to the store.

If you stay still for a few it does a few things and if you turn a page or something it will unlock the doors or keep some of circuits active. Since you are still inside. Do not really know but it's monitoring and not totally shutting down YET!

Clicking, clicking, clicking=parasitic 12V power draining noises. They'll stop when your battery goes into deep sleep 😴or is dead ⚰
That's what the Maverick hybrid does.
Folks have gotten tents for the back of the hybrid Maverick but couldn't sleep in it, because of the incessant clicking.

I've found if you leave the key far away it clicks "less", but it still just randomly makes noise- keeping the battery at the right temp and ready to go.

It’s not just the hybrid. My 2024 Ecoboost Lariat makes a bunch of clicking noises when I approach it, even before I touch the truck. I have no idea why but I like to think that it’s my little trucklet’s A.I. trying to say hello to me. Unfortunately, Siri is unable to interpret the communication. Perhaps it is a Trunk Monkey clicking out some morse code, asking for a banana. The world may never know.

If you double lock with fob, door handle, or key pad the courtesy lights and other things are apparently turned off within 5-8 seconds. Also it seems like the clicking is much reduced. I have not stayed inside cab for over 30 minutes after removing key and double locking but according to manual if you open door you have something like 20 seconds to unlock door with fob or start the truck to prevent the "big honking Alarm" from going off. In my Lariat when I get out of cab with truck in ready state the horn honks twice, I can shut door immediately, double lock and leave truck running until I return and it will stay locked until fob returns or keypad unlocks door. I assume the max idle time if set will turn off truck or not depending.

I read somewhere that if the ignition key is within a certain distance of the truck, the fuel pump will prime itself every so often in anticipation of starting.

Yes. Everyone with the Hybrid has the same clicking noise. It's relays. And ecoboost, to to a lesser extent.

It stops after a while. Possibly stops more quickly if you double lock the truck with the fob.

I think we've discovered the real cause for the battery drain problems!

Thanks! Never heard of the relays before, thanks for the info!
