This is also not correct.

If a dealership participates in plan pricing (AXZD) they cannot deny plan pricing on an eligible vehicle. Hard stop.
Well, I went to two dealerships and they would not honor Xplan on the vehicles on the lot. Don’t know what to tell you. I told them I had Xplan but would be willing to pay MSRP and give up my discount, they told me to take a hike

AFIK there is nothing about the Doc fee that is "state". There is no required state doc fee. Yes some of this fee covers documents like titles required by the states. But then again, you would not buy a vehicle without a title. Some states do limit the amount a dealer can list as a Doc fee. I believe these fees were initially just a normal cost of business that dealers decided to pass on to customers for additional profit. They should be limited to something reasonable. IMO
Let me rephrase it. The state has a cap on how high it can go. I should have typed it that way. Either way it's a bogus fee. I was multitasking when I posted it. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Nice find for those who don't qualify for the Military Exclusive Cash Reward. I did my 20 so the $500 comes with each new vehicle purchase.

I just looked up the X plan savings on each trim and they are: 292, 352 and 555 dollars. I bought an XLT so I came out 148 ahead.

I was searching for the Ford site for discount and rebate offers for the Maverick I have on order and found a link from the Ford site to an organization called We Salute. According to the information on both the Ford and We Salute sites, We Salute + (paying) members who are veterans qualify for X pricing on certain Ford vehicles (including Maverick). Currently their annual membership fee is $59.95 plus a $4.95 processing fee for the first year. Discounts for other products are included in the membership.
Does anyone have any experience with this organization? What are the discounts associated with the X plan?
Here's the link Ford sent me to after they informed me I was not eligible for the military discount.

Plans and Pricing | WeSalute

I dug a little deeper and found that you must be a paid annual member for 90 days prior to using the offer.

Update ---
First, thanks to all who gave me advice on the X plan. One of my neighbors is a retired Ford employee and got me a PIN. It saved me several hundred on the discount but more importantly, it saved me $749 on the North Carolina "document fee". That and the fact that Ford doubled the Veterans discount to $1000 for the Memorial Day weekend made last Friday a great day to bring home my new Maverick.
