On another thread, hunterdon1 mentioned that he had a build date during the week of 04/25/22 and that his VIN ended with 56910. I, too, have a 04/25/22 build date, and my VIN ends with 63017. We know that they cannot possibly build more than 6000 vehicles in one week since their goal for the entire month is less than this number. It can also be assumed that his build is not the first of that build week, nor mine the last (what are the odds?). This means that the discrepancy could be far greater than the shown 6107.

So, what can we theorize is the cause for such a massive variation in sequential orders in a single week?

I'm generally not a pessimist, but my six-month wait for a build date and my complete lack of confidence in Ford makes me theorize that there is no way my truck is getting built that week. Instead, I'll eventually receive emails with delayed build dates stretching into late May.

VINs are assigned by original scheduled production order. Actual build order can very greatly from the original schedule order as evinced by all the build date change notices everyone gets.

Exactly what Automate said...
To add, the VIN# has almost nothing to do with the sequence of it going down the build line.
For example: if you and I both had a bare bones XL in Oxford White scheduled for 4/25 they would likely be close to each other on the line, no matter the VIN#.

VIN's are assigned by order & actual builds depend on availability of parts for each build. When mine arrived at the dealer last Saturday, there was another delivered with it, my vin is in the 35000 range & the other was in the 29000 range.
