Using Intake/Turbo Cleaners…

I was discussing my “CRC Intake & Turbo Cleaner” usage in another thread - but is was off topic and did not want to derail that post.

Anyone using Intake/Turbo cleaners? I’ve used CRC brand on normally aspirated direct injected engines - but never on a turbocharged engine. Other folks prefer Seafoam or other brands.

I was thinking my port injected 2025 will keep my intake valves cleaner - but have no effect on keeping my turbo carbon free.

CRC recommends treatment early & often for turbo engines. Using for the first time on a higher mileage turbo vehicle may put carbon “chunks” into the turbo blades - damaging them.

Anyone following an early/often regimen on their 2.0 EB’s?

Date night method. Find a town 50-90 miles away with a drive in diner and a drive in movie, go once a month.

I never add additives or used intake cleaners. Never had valve troubles on engines taken past 500,000 miles and never any kind of a problem.

Throttle body cleaning and anything CRC recommends makes them money.
It’s your money, give it to whom ever you like.

I learned along time ago, there is no such thing as a mechanic in a bottle and I don’t believe in Genies.

Again my high mileage trouble free engines were truly high mileage with no oil or fuel additives and no chemicals put into my intakes, ever.
528,000 miles
394,000 miles
167,000 miles
340,000 miles
All with zero engine issues.
I’ll stop there.

I tried to delete this thread but I couldn’t. Maybe CRC stopped me and Seafoam is counterattacking
